Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

They were 9th in scoring before he got there and never above 28th since. I just hate that it is another Veer and shoot guy in the SEC
Im glad Heupel has been adding some different elements to it vs what it was when he first arrived. Now 20% of the league is running an offense based off the Veer and shoot.

Personally, I’m almost as worried about our offense as I am the defense. We get so stagnant at times. It could be that the defense being so lackluster puts too much pressure on the O. Gotta get Banks out though.
I’ve been thinking the same thing…glad I’m not the only one.

Nobody does a coaching search like this forum. Nobody. I’m here for all of the plane tracking and DN jokes.

Let the debate! Later rednecks.
BOOM

I figured the OG Copperhead would be slithering through here sometime today. We're glad you're here.... in real time.

Stephen Belichick is ranked as the #19 DC in college football? Are you *****ing me? UNC had the worst defense I saw all year.

OU beat Bama. Why would I object to them being in over Bama?

So you think the SEC and Big 10 should be exempt from championship games mattering? Because they seem to matter for every other conference. Ohio State should have at least dropped to the 4 seed for losing. But it didn't happen. Bama should have been dropped out. CCGs matter in every conference except for the SEC and the Big 10. That's politics.
Sankey should be fired, or at least k***ed in the b***s.

Request for prayers. As some know, I took a life-changing job in DC that started in September. In October we had our second child. I haven't had any time off and we knew it would be a challenge, but we didn't factor in how difficult this would all be for our oldest daughter (3.5yo).

We knew there would be an adjustment, but she's very obviously dealing with anxiety and probably depression. Multiple times a day she cries because she misses her friends from her old preschool. Multiple times a day she asks to call or facetime her grandparents, aunts, and cousins, something she never asked to do before we moved. While out she will go from being happy and in the moment to panicking and asking for her blanket or to be held.

We know part of that is being a 3yr old learning how to regulate emotions. And her imagination is definitely coming in full swing now. It's just been hard for us to watch and manage especially.

We are trying our best. We call family daily, we do fun things on weekends as often as possible, we are trying to make this Christmas a magical one, she's at a new school now slowly making new friends. Also hoping to start going to church where she's in school to create more of a connection for her and us. We also talked last night and plan to sit down with her and create a very structured schedule to alleviate some of her anxiety and help her and us manage each day. We just need some encouragement, prayers, and support.

And we need the Vols to play a bowl game so she can run around screaming "Woo!" As I sing Rocky Top and celebrate touchdowns.

Thanks y'all.
Maybe have a regular “dad” time - whether it’s just the two of you playing together at a park or going out for ice cream every Friday afternoon. She has you all to herself even if just for an hour.

If it makes you feel better, mine is the same age, and he's doing all those exact same things, but he doesn't have the excuse of a major change. Kids are flexible and resilient, honestly it's probably as much from having a sibling after 3.5 years of being an only child as it is from moving. Mine was constantly crying and melting down when the sibling started taking attention.

Stay the course, this will pass soon. Praying for you anyway, but don't make a bigger deal of the move than it is. 90% of it is most likely the age/phase and the new baby.
