Now do it with favorite wins.
A few games stand out, once Peyton was the guy...but basically ending the season 5-0 and the offense averaging 43.4ppg while doing it was magically. 52-0 against Kentucky and 65-0 Vandy and then the absolute beating of VA Tech in the Gator Bowl was beautiful
41 to 14 at Bama Peyton hitting Kent for 80 on the first play and ending that losing streak to the Tide and then to cap that season off by beating Eddie George and Ohio State to end the season 11-1
Beating Bama again and then also the way we responded after losing to Memphis with a 55-14 thumping of Arkansas. Also the big win against Northwestern in the bowl game
Beatdown of Georgia to keep us in the driver's seat for playing in the championship game and then beating Auburn (game was very much all Vols to start, defense checked out in the 2nd half but we held on)
This was one of the most stressful seasons as a Vol fan of my life, and it opened with a last second FG to beat the McNabb lead Orangemen. Tee was a big step down from Peyton and he never really won a game on his own. Finally beating Florida, Dominating a top 10 Georgia team in Georgia. The Arkansas game and the miraculous fumble, and capping the season leaving no doubt thumping the Tim Couch lead Wildcats 59-21. Then of course winning the SEC and then winning it all against FSU
Kind of a forgotten season honestly...but the back to back wins against Georgia and at Alabama stand out...my favorite win was beating Notre Dame though (we climbed to 3rd after that, before getting upset at Arkansas) was good to see Jamal back as well
The iceman era begins, didn't appreciate Casey Clausen enough when he was playing...but his first year here he had quite a few memorable wins. But at 17th ranked South Carolina was the best of the bunch
Travis Stephens' time had come. Immediately 34 to 32 at #2 Florida in Spurrier's last game against us as a Gator. Stephens went for 226 yards and the Gators were held to 36 as a team LOL
lost 5 and got beat by every ranked team we faced...still won 8 games though, for me the best win was Arkansas (who finished 9-4). Ending the season shutting out Vandy & Kentucky was also nice
Winning in the swamp in Clausen's final game facing them was big and then also winning at Miami was huge that year. Clausen's 5 TD day against Mississippi State also stands out, even though they were a terrible team.
Beat the Gators, upset Georgia, and beat Bama. Even made the SEC championship game just to get beat a 2nd time by Auburn. But the game that stood out was the Cotton Bowl getting to skull drag A&M in Texas was so much fun!
Somehow we upset LSU in Baton Rouge this year. Then even with it being the worst season of Fulmer's career we still went to Kentucky and dominated them
35 to 18 to open against California, Vols are back! Also 51 to 33 at Georgia was big.
35 to 14 over Georgia, 27 to 24 against Spurrier and USC and then the 52 to 50 shootout at Kentucky to make the SEC Championship game...another one of those defensive collapses we sometimes saw 31-14 near the end of the 3rd quarter, Kentucky scores 17 unanswered to force OT and we stop their 2 PT attempt to hold on
5-7 again? Fulmer's last year...no favorites really but finishing with 2 wins and not giving Vandy and Kentucky the satisfaction of sending Fulmer out with losses to them.
Kiffin the savior?!? Very up/down year...the beatdown of Georgia was big then we gave South Carolina one as well
Honestly...all the Bray starts looked like Dooley had his QB and we'd have 2 or 3 more years of winning with offense. The Ole Miss game is the favorite, opening up with the 80 yard TD to Hunter and then not letting up. Also 2 pick 6s as well...perfect storm that game
45 to 23 Cincinnati, this was my first game at Neyland in person actually and I was too drunk to remember anything before half. Bray's best game as a Vol without a doubt though, was on the strip until 2am and the Bearcat fans were awesome folks
NC State game was special that first quarter was beautiful. The arrival of Cordarrelle Patterson...also the Troy game when Patterson went off again
52 to 20 win over Western Kentucky, went to this game and the 1st quarter where we had the back to back pick 6s was insane fun. Also upsetting a top 15 South Carolina team this year
Iowa in the bowl game, we had some close losses that year... at Georgia and against Florida but the way the team showed up for the bowl game was it. 28 unanswered before they even scored game was over at the half and the 21 in garbage time still didn't make it look close lol
38 to 31 win over Georgia in the Smoky Greys, the 52 to 21 beating at Kentucky that started the win streak to end the year and then again the beatdown in the bowl game of another slow Big 10 team
38 to 28 against Florida, missed the first half driving to beach got to the condo in time to enjoy the comeback though and wore my UT gear all week down there. 34 to 31 win over Georgia was at a freaking B-day party and listening to it...left the party after Georgia went up with no time left in disgust and heard the catch in the car then got home in time to see the replay. The 63 to 37 win over Missouri...although seeing how many points/yards our defense gave up to Heupel's offense should have been a red flag going into Vandy. Bowl game and Dobbs' last game was also special, although a bit tarnished knowing what we missed out on
N/A...4-8 and we struggled to beat 2 of the cupcakes even
Pruitt Era: 2018 upsetting that top 15 Kentucky team and upsetting that top 25 Auburn team. 2019 41 to 21 over South Carolina and JJ going off big time to start the win streak of 6 to end the season also Eric Gray's Vandy coming out party. 2020 35 to 12 over Missouri...honestly a rough year just happy we had football but damn did it suck going 3-7
62 to 24 at Missouri, felt like this was the first time we finally saw what Heupel & his offense was going to be for us.
So many for this season man. Beating Florida, Blowing out LSU. Finally ending the streak against Bama. Destroying Kentucky. Blowing out Missouri again.
