Looking more and more like DeBord will be the new OC

They lost to APP State about 10 years ago I know it was after I moved back to Tennessee in 2000.

It was 2007. Mike Debord was the OC at Michigan at the time not that it matters that much. Just piling on really but I'm so against this hire I want to go bowling. I mean literally bowling as in rent shoes and stuff. Nevermind....

He decided to take more of a sports management/AD type of role, that was his decision. It was not because he couldn't find a job as you claim. And yes, many NFL teams are beating down his door.

Which teams? I've I seen alot of coaching hires the past couple of weeks yet mysteriously DeBord remains out of coaching. He's a hot commodity alright, I guess he's weighing his options on which high profile job he would like to take. If you asked 100 people it would be you and maybe one other person who actually thinks that DeBord would be a good hire.

Candle for OC!

DeBord would also do fine. Although he failed as a head coach, he could still be a very good coordinator. Look at Muschump. Maybe make him Co-oc with CZA, and they can split recruiting responsibility. CZA does the travel, DeBord does the paperwork, I'll handle the cash and women, someone get the booze, we akl go homr happy

just curious but when has that ever been a good reason to hire anyone?

There is a chance of losing more than PW , there could be more. If your not smart enough to realize that . If not that's your problem. Don't act like you knew who this clown is and think this would be a great hire.

This. Also I don't think people are considering not only current recruits but future recruiting. What kind of evidence is there that proves Debord can recruit at a high level?

Can we chill out chicken littles? We haven't hired anyone yet and people are losing their minds. It's comical.

Simply put, the chart below shows why I hope DeBord is not our next OC.

His years as OC at Michigan are bolded. I'm including the years before & after he left for comparison.

Those stats are really not that bad for the time. I would hate the hire but those stats don't really support the cause.
