FactsJoey is 24, will be 25 when the season starts. Michael Penix, Bo Nix, Tyler Shough, Jayden Daniels and our VFL Hendon Hooker were all drafted between the ages of 24-26 in the last 3 years.
Tyler Shough was in college for 7 years at 3 different schools. This would be Joey’s 4th divisionyear at 3 different schools.
TJ Finley is going to his 7th school in 7 years. I say this to say Joey isn’t even that old compared to other QBs on similar paths. His issue is JUCo years counting towards his career eligibility.
He’d finish the season at 25 and we’ve seen guys in his age range be drafted, including HH.
Not hysterical at all, I'm just familiar with the "just the tip" situation that we've seen play out with NIL, "it won't be that much money," and transfers, "not that many players will want to transfer," that we've seen with college football. No, I'm relatively sure it's for ONE more year of eligibility. Thanks for your hysterics - they were funny...
4 years of D1 and you are gone.
I think his argument is, today it's 5 yrs to play, next it'll be someone suing for 6, 7, 8 etcNo, I'm relatively sure it's for ONE more year of eligibility. Thanks for your hysterics - they were funny...
Within 15 days there will be a hearing on extending the injunction until there is a final hearing on the entire merits of the case. The chancellor will be charged with determining three things: 1. Does Joey Aguilar have no adequate remedy at law; 2. Will he suffer "irreparable harm" if an injunction is not granted; and 3. Will he likely succeed if his case is fully heard and tried on the merits. If JA can show these three things he will be granted an injunction until the case can be heard on the merits. If the case is not heard before Joey can play this fall, it will likely be dismissed due to the issues being rendered moot.Knoxnews says it was only a 15-day order. Not sure what that means long term.
"On Feb. 4, Chancellor Christopher Heagerty issued the 15-day order in Knox County Chancery Court."

Fair. For the record, I think Joey A has a case here but I'll be side eyeing all you guys when UT faces a nearly 30yo QB playing his 9th year of college ball and y'all start with "This is ruining college football......"
Just like we were all in on Donde and the TN Attorney General giving the NCAA hell over our recruiting techniques with Nico, until recruiting turned really messy and Ohio State starts flipping our guys with shady tricks or Miami goes shady to get Mensah into the portal.
When it happens to us, you guys will cry like kicked dogs that "the system is broken."
It is broken and you like it today. Just remember that tomorrow.
all you against this...if he leads us to the CFP, money on everyone changing their tune....2nd year in the system was when Hooker took off.
Sounds really good for Joey and VolsJudge comments

I think it's a done deal at this point. The 15 days is pretty much so the NCAA can try and counter the judges points but bullet point 1 is big
