Yeah, 2 entirely different scenarios. North Korea is driven by a single authoritarian with nothing to motivate his masses. Iran, with their Shiite brand of hardline Islam has millions of fanatics who would die for the opportunity to destroy Israel. The hope is that their are enough children and grandchildren of the Shah’s reign to foster the younger generation’s hunger for freedom like they had under the Shah. Pictures of Iran pre-revolution are amazing. They truly had a paradise with oil money flowing to the people, not to fanatical death squads.

The real answer here has little to do with the Gerald Ford itself. And the assertion that the mission is to protect Israel is somewhat dubious as well. The Mediterranean is a safer operating area, provides a different area of approach for aircraft, and offers protection to an area in the region within Iran's offensive missile range.

So its another semantics thing. The destroyers are part of the battle group. They need the carrier there to back them up so we are stationing our assets next to Israel for the express purpose of protecting Israeli lives over American lives in the Gulf.

This is treason and should get everyone in this administration locked up.

And your argument that the US is protecting Israel to the detriment of the Gulf States by stationing the USS Ford in the Mediterranean is just flat wrong on its face.

- The USS Lincoln is in the Arabian Sea off Oman right now, with Carrier Air Wing 9 (which includes F-35C) embarked.

- There are multiple LCS and Guided Missile Destroyers in the Persian Gulf right now at Bahrain.

- There are multiple Destroyers in the Straight of Hormuz right now.

- The entire Destroyer Squadron 21 is currently in the North Arabian Sea.

The USS Gerald Ford is the newest, most expensive, and most advanced carrier. My argument was never that we left our bases in the Gulf defenseless. My argument was we prioritized protecting Israeli lives over American lives by stationing our most advanced carrier next to Israel rather than in the Gulf protecting our soldiers.

How about we give Israel those less advanced carriers and put our crown jewel carrier in the Gulf so it can protect our actual soldiers rather than the Israelis. This is about priorities. And its clear that our government is prioritizing the safety of Israel over the safety of our troops in the Gulf.

It's pretty well known if you know anything about aircraft carriers particularly US carriers.

Myself and others have told you but you keep referencing AI that you obviously don't understand.

Aircraft carriers don't carry offensive weapons (except for the fighter aircraft they carry) they have limited range defensive weapons. Once again the carriers are going to be in open waters 100 miles plus out and not anywhere near the coast to do what you've been alleging.

If you don't have sources I'll have to go with the AI which cites its sources.
