Dobbs at the Combine

Agreed. If it was only about character/interviews, Dobbs would be the number one overall pick.

True and Myles Garrett might be a late round pick. I think with QBs the interviews mean a good bit. Not as much as these throws though. Gotta say he looks pretty good out there. I've got a feeling the Browns take Dobbs a lot earlier than they might should. Assuming they don't grab Watson. JMO.

Honestly I think this Kizer kids is at the bottom of my picks. He looks more inconsistent than most but because notre Dame they are all about him

Sure hope they don't draft him, wouldn't be good for Josh imo. Pray he goes to a solid, stable, winning franchise with a top qb right now so he can sit and learn and develop for 2-3 years.

Most all of these skills I have to see on the field.

Trevor Knight ran a 4.54 and Dalvin Cook ran a 4.50.

Now, I'm sorry. I've seen these guys play. I don't care what game it was, Cook was the fastest dude on the field

The one thing I've always thought they should start doing at the combine is make these guys run and do drills in full gear, I played with guys that where track stars but in pads they were just alright speed wise, it crazy how some guys can play in shorts or pads and nOT lose a step and others are challenged dramatically.

Agreed but having seen Trevor knight run all over our ass I can't deny he's got insane wheels

I'm with you. Football game speed is totally different than straight line 40 speed.
I'd take Dobbs over any of these guys for that.

First 40 time....4.66

Deshon Kizer ran 4.84
Trevor Knight 4.54

Dobbs 2nd 40 was 4.65

About what I thought he would run.

He's slippery not explosive.

Trevor Knight does have a real burst

I think Dobbs will be a better NFL qb than Brad Kaaya

Agreed, ive liked dobbs, knight and a couple others much more than kizer thus far. Kizer has a cannon but his footwork and consistency have been average at best. Ive never seen Dobbs as an NFL really until today. He looks like he belongs out there and its really apparent the added work has paid off the past few months. Saw an article the other day about how he was excited to be done with school and be able to finally focus on his training full force and id never even really thought about that during his 4 years with us. I think his ceiling is higher than i expected.

Exactly, hes football fast and runs with vision and power, especially near the goal line. For ANYONE to think hes a Vick, Cunningham and the like level speedster is insane. I will say his top end speed is really good though, hes ran away from some guys who will post much faster 40's than his 4.65

Agree with you. Josh isn't can't miss, but he's gotta much better chance to be drafted and have NFL success than so many, me included, believed he did.

As an NFL scout/analyst was quoted as saying earlier this morning at the combine, "with the right situation and coaching, he can play". I just hope he winds up in that right situation. Would be thrilled to see him be the next Tennessee QB I can follow for the next 10-15 years like I did Peyton for so long.

Knight also doesn't run with the same power Dobbs has

I don't think I've ever seen a qb run with as much power/break as many tackles as Dobbs has, other than Steve McNair, who was a 235 lb freak of nature.
