I grew up in TX, all my whole family lives there. TN has great looking woman and so does TX. I just think TX has more because there are more people in general.
Anyway...I was told once by a guy from Los Angeles that Dallas had better looking woman than in LA. One persons opinion yes, but he was surprised.
Anyway, IMHO UT is the better overall choice for DS when it comes to football. Unfortunately, in the state if utx comes a calling its hard to say no even if it's not the best option for you on the field. The school is great academically, and he and his family are set for life in there small East TX town.
Van, TX is a very small town. Lets think of it as a Bucksnort. Barely an exit off the highway. Utx doesn't stop there on a yearly basis. Maybe drive by the exit sign on the highway to get to Longview or Tyler, but it's been a awhile since a utx coach made a direct beeline to the town. It's a big deal. I'm sure the family will have the cleaning lady out tomorrow before they get there, and the town itself will be doing it's own kind of cleaning up waiting for Brown to come into town. Pretty sure the mayor is fully aware of the fact that Mack Brown is coming to town, and is scheming a way to personally meet him. If he isn't an aggie of course cause then there will be spikes set a long the road for him.I know this may sound like an exaggeration, and I may be laying it on a little thick. But trust me it's not out of the realm of possibility.
The story of Mack Brown coming to town to recruit the Santos kid will be spoken about for yrs and yrs by the old men sitting on the rockers in front of the general store and at the town barber shop. Just sayin...
The fact you have grown adults calling a kid disloyal, arrogant, untrustworthy, etc.........all because his childhood favorite offered him a scholarship and he is considering it..........is pretty freaking pathetic.
There are some serious issues on this board with some people who hold that kind of animosity towards a kid for choosing a college to go to that will ultimately not impact their real life one single bit.
Rant over
Do me a favor. Go check out Mike Davis' Twitter feed circa mid-December 2011. Pay particular attention to tweets from Gator fans. I am SURE that once you read up on your psychotically deranged fanbase's reaction to his decommitment, you will expeditiously and without haste will make your way over to GatorCountry and GatorSports and chastise them for having "some serious issues".
Texas? This kid was built to stop the run in the SEC. The only running team Texas plays is KSU. He will ride the pine for the majority of the games

Just some facts for those of you who think a LB like Santos isn't a fit for the Big12:
One team in the Big 12 averaged 50 attempts passing attempts per game. Six of the 10 teams in the league ran the ball more than they passed. Only 2 teams (Tech and OK St) averaged 10 more passing plays than running plays. Half the league averaged 10 more running plays than passing plays.
Why don't you panic and give up a little quicker there bro....
I'm not panicking. I just don't think Santos signs with us. I will be very ecstatic if I am wrong. This kid seems to want out, and his parents seem to want out. I don't see them sticking. If he goes to Tejas it is bad fit for him though. If they don't see that, they are not bright.
I have literally seen nothing suggesting Santos wants out. By all quotes, indications, and reports he loves Tennessee. His parents may have other ideas, but people are just so quick to panic around here.
