I could see that when they need additonal blocking help but not a pass receiving threat.
leading that effort, dickson said, is five-star tight end jay rome of valdosta. Rome admits that georgia leads and that hes really close to making a decision. In fact, rome said he considered making an announcement in orlando. i thought about it while i have been here and i prayed about it a couple of times, he said. i might, but more than likely i wont. rome said he plans to still make an official visit to clemson and possibly tennessee.
Does anyone remember what kind of hands he has from high school? I remember he played TE in high school and it seems like I remember hearing he was fairly atheletic but thats about as far as my memory takes me..
I don't pay attention to kids in high school so I have no idea. He looks too bulky to me to be much more than a blocker if a TE. Rivera is currently all we have that can catch the ball, hopefully.
I seriously think next year you will see many more 3 and 4 wides and mainly due to lack of TE's. Clear won't be a help as a TE. too young and not physically mature..
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong.
Biggest offensive needs are offensive line (which we will get) and another tight end (Cam Clear). Other than that, defense should be the biggest priority.

Kissimmee, Fla. – I spoke to Jay Rome this morning and he said he is, indeed, still considering making an announcement down here at the Under Armour All-America Game.
“Yes, sir, I may still do it,” Rome said. “I’m not sure yet.”
