11' GA TE Jay Rome

If we can get him on campus our chances go way up. UGA's "Dream Team" is down to Rome and Crowell. UGA fans will be in a panic if he visits.

Rome blew the two point play, then wanted to blame other guy.JMO

Those two got their routes crossed. I think Rome was supposed to run the out, but the receiver slanted into him and they collided. The location on the pass looked like Rome was running the correct route. My 2 worthless cents.

You're going to be right. He's let on too much about Georgia to say otherwise now. If he did commit to us, I would gladly eat my crow, but I think all indications are UGA.

Rome actually wanted to commit towards the end of the UA game but was told it was too late. He will probably announce next weekend with his teammate (Malcom Mitchell)

UGA had considered the dream team?

It wasn't really targeted at a specific group of people to be honest because we knew that several of the top players in the state of GA were not going to end up at UGA. It was more of a gimmicky thing to distract the top players in the state from the awful season we were having.

Realistically, the state of GA provides enough talent to build a "Dream Team" every year. Give me the top 25 players in the state of GA every year and I will be more than happy, unfortunately it doesn't happen.

What makes this work is peer presser and thats why when one of them commit they will all start to commit and if they get half of the players that are considered to be the Dream Team. Then they will have a top 3 class. Where this fails is with players that havent commited early, because if that recruit doesnt care about distant from home and everytime he talks to his Buddy about being the dream team he starts to want to go to Georgia just because so many of his top athlete friends are. BUT if two or three people go somewhere else it slowly kills the dream team.

Can we ban this guy?

It is more of a joke/jab...just not a big fan of UGA ;)

Yeah, I'm a huge GT fan. LOL

Sure I'm a huge UGA fan but I also follow recruiting for all SEC teams. I get some good info here and like to share some good info whenever I have it, some fans seem to appreciate that.

By the way, every year is "Dream Team"

Mitchell actually pushed back his announcement date because he could not get to Bama this weekend for his visit. According to Mitchell, he will now commit on Jan. 20. Rome might wait until then but could announce sooner than that.

Nah, there's plenty of us. Some just don't like to go public with their opinions. Like I stated when I first joined, I stay away from trash talk and just like to discuss FACTS.
