However, an interim means (to recruits) that something is going to change. Keeping Butch until the end of the season means recruits are left wondering whether he goes or stays. At this point, what's the difference in a "complete meltdown" or our current trajectory? 😀

Maybe they never did, and we were just lucky to have CPF at the right time for the duration we had him. Then the BOT, ADs, and Chancellors showed their incompetence ever since. The one thing they have in their corner is loyal Vol fans who continue to pay for a bad product.

There are several possibilities that could be happening, but I'm pessimistic given Haslam's involvement and history.

I hate the instant coach love people have here. The gullibility or blind faith our fan base has is nuts. Today, (not 20 years ago)I view coaches as subcontractors. I "like" them after they prove themselves. Until then, my affection for them is in check.
