College Football is officially a joke

Bama needed a 4th and 31 against the Barn in last game of regular season..... So much for the "getting a lot better" throughout the year. And if the defense is that "rivalry games can bring up tight games" is that not exactly what happened to FSU having close win over Florida in the Swamp?
Rivalry games play closer than the talent disparity. I didn’t say anything about that for FSU or Bama. Last night, Alabama beat the number one team in the number one conference.

They did not play a top 5 team. Where did Florida finish? LSU was their toughest game all year and LSU is ranked 13th. SMH The committee went by your theory last year with TCU and we all know how that turned out.

TCU was not one of the best 4 teams and the minute they lost a game, they should have been kept out.... Saying that a 12-1 TCU is somehow an equal comparison to 13-0 FSU is hilarious..... FSU has ton of talent all over the field.... TCU had Duggan and QJ, that's it.

A lot of you guys are wanting another TCU in the playoff and it's weird.
No, the beef is the committee arbitrarily changing the criteria on a whim. If it has to be the “best four in”, how did they pick TCU and Cincinnati? Neither of those were among the “best four”. Cincinnati was especially ridiculous.

Tennessee will make more money from the conference on Alabama's appearance in the playoff than we will from our own bowl appearance in an inconsequential bowl game, regardless of where we play, but will allow the team an additional 20 days of practice to get ready for the bowl game and for the 2024 season under the NCAA rules,

Texas benefitted greatly from their "affiliation" with the SEC as well as a win over Alabama to make it to the playoff in front of a Florida State team that had a better record, went undefeated in their season and conference, from time to time Tennessee gets a break being in the SEC and being followed by 15,000 - 18,000 fans that routinely will show up at an interesting bowl game and enjoyable bowl venue

Exactly. Thank you for making my point. You all want another TCU in there so bad and I don't understand it.

If you want to blame anyone, blame Louisville. They completely laid an egg against Kentucky last week. That’s the ACC runner up. There’s no divisions in the ACC anymore. They legit were the second best team in the ACC and lost to Kentucky. FSU was a bad Jack Plummer throw from losing to the same Louisville team.

Bama was a terrible defensive play from losing to an Auburn team that got stomped by New Mexico State.

The CFP committee was not about to make that TCU mistake again. How close was that game?

Why is there a sudden stupidity out there that FSU with Rodemaker is the equivalent to last year's 12-1 TCU?
Why is there the blatant stupidity in thinking FSU is the same with their backups who have sucked? Because that's idiotic. Dude last night was 8/21 for 55 yards. Why do you want another TCU so bad???

This X a million. They also benefited from a fumbled kickoff catch with just a few mins left in the game. Auburn was a 6 win team who had literally come off a baeating at the hands of New Mexico State at home a week prior. How in the hell does that support the narrative that “bama is clearly one of the best 4 teams in the country”…

This is a really dumb stance.... Tennessee is now one of the few $200m revenue AD's now....

FSU couldn’t beat any of the four chosen teams. That’s all they need to have in common with TCU.

So I don't know all the ins and outs of the CFP committee. Is the goal to move toward some type of qualifiers that locks down a spot or to put in the 4 teams that are the best at the end of the season?

Do they have parameters or just what their gut thinks is the best?

Bring back the BCS please!!! The only way to overcome partiality is put it back on the computers

I agree. I liked the BCS. I never wanted to scrap the whole thing, just add two more teams
