Two 1 loss conference champions in over an undefeated conference champion?
Gone are the days of results on the field. 2 years in a row Bama has gotten a bump for the "how they look". It's no longer just about winning but people's opinions truly matter more. The game has become down right pathetic. College Football is a complete joke on all levels.

Well, FSU had the number 55 strength of schedule and Bama had number 5. Bama lost to to a top four team, and beat the top team. FSU did not play anyone close to a Georgia or a Texas. Someone was going to be sad. They chose the crap commuter college that no one follows. Next year we’ll have a playoff with eight teams that don’t have a chance. That will be really boring.

FSU Got SCREWED!!!!!

Bad Precedent to set by "The Committee"...

So, if you build depth...and your 3rd String QB STILL WINS Your Conference Championship...AND you Go UNDEFEATED...You're "NOT the same Team you were EARLIER in the Year?"

So negative. If they did the Top 8 this year, it would’ve made for an amazing tournament! Michigan, Washington, FSU, Texas, Bama, Georgia, Ohio State, & Oregon. Looks like some great games to me.

You left out the part after “Bama lost to a top 4 team”. It should have continued that “FSU did not lose to any team”.

yep and it would of been us last year if we came back and beat uscjr
Not quite. We would still have the 1 UGA loss at that point. It would have only been a discussion for the last spot with another 1-loss non-conference champion (Ohio State) in that case.

None of it is “fair”. Georgia may still be the best in the country. They lost by two bad calls with their two best weapons hobbled. TCU getting in was “fair”, and no one watched the game after ten minutes. You can bet the advertisers had a voice in who was in this year.

On the other hand, if the committee put FSU into the CFP, everyone would go nuts when Michigan embarrassed them in the first round. Probably better for the committee to take their lumps now and set up a really good football game.

This notion that FSU with Rodemaker at QB is dead man walking is hilarious.
