Will this finally settle the Manning - Brady debate?

No one outside of the Tennessee fan base even recognizes this as a debate anymore, and I'm not even sure why UT fans are still hung up on it tbh. Brady is the best to ever play. 9 super bowl appearances, possibly about to have 6 rings, will be at or near the top of nearly every significant statistical category when he hangs it up, and he's done it with mostly castaways at the skill positions with the only honest exceptions being Randy Moss for a year and Gronk who's injured half the damn time. I don't care how much of a genius you think Bill Belichick is, Brady is the goat.

Hell, even the defenses he's had haven't been super talented, although they were very good early on. How many HOF'ers have there actually been? Maybe Richard Seymour and Ty Law from back in the day?

That's a bold statement that everyone outside of TN agrees Brady is the goat. Where is the poll you are referring to? I have seen plenty of posts from non TN,Colts, or Broncos suggest that Brady is overrated, a system QB, and has benefited from a great coach and team.

Every time you talk to yourself and repeat your talking points? 😏

The Patriots would have matched their total without him...zero.

come on. that is ridiculous. you can't tell me peyton wouldn't have won those first three in particular when Brady did absolutely nothing other than manage the game. I am starting to doubt you are who you say you are. You are coming across as a total homer now.

I am a Peyton homer. With a sober perspective. How many years did Peyton go without a playoff win? And Brady did way more than “manage games”. That’s your Peyton blinders. Get off the teet, brother. 😎

I’ll say this to, you can say what you want but there are two rings Brady should not have... I mean the Seahawks had that game won, all they had to do was run the ball from the half yard line with the best rb in the league that year and it’s game, it wasn’t even like it was 4th down, it was second!!! There is zero percent chance with 3 shots from the half yard line beast mode doesn’t get it in... was Brady responsibly for Carroll going full you know what? Then the falcons had the game wrapped up as well but decided for some reason not to just run the ball!!! I don’t know New England is kind of like bama for some reason when teams have them on the ropes they just decide to hand it back to them... hell Peyton could have another super bowl win or two if teams just decided to literally hand them back the game when they were on the ropes, unfortunately that never happened... that’s really just more of a rant than an argument about who the GOAT is.... just irritates me that things always seem to work out for those guys even when they aren’t the better team sometimes.

You forgot the tuck rule year. that would eliminate his first SB.

If you want to play that game, the patriots could easily have won all eight Super Bowls under B&B. I mean hell the giants needed two miracle plays to win both of their SB’s against the pats.

I remember tommy boy throw some untimely interceptions in some of those SB loses as well. I know he throw a costly one in seahawks territory. Had it not been for that, perhaps they would have won easily. Nobody even remembers his picks and fumbles. He's probably thrown more SB interceptions that any other QB as well. But lucky tommy, his kicker, his defense, and idiotic opposing coaches are always there to bail him out.

Playing on a successful team is not an individual stat.

Here’s a stat for you: Brady has 33 post season interceptions— he’s #1.

You answered my question from an earlier post. His team has ended up winning many post season games when he has thrown multiple picks. He has gotten bailed out a lot. I think in the San Diego championship game prior to the first giants sb he throw 3 pics and still won. how does that happen? what other qb gets away with that.

Yeah Tom dug himself a hole by actually throwing 2 picks vs the seahawks that SB..

And then came back to lead the patriots against the #1 scoring d in the league to the biggest super bowl comeback in NFL history.. that stood until he brought the patriots back down 28-3

A lot of the Peyton homers on this site seem to conveniently forget Peyton threw 4 picks in the AFC title in 03 too and had his moments..

Peyton had an ALL TIME career. He was absolutely incredible.

He isn't in Tom Brady's class, and it isn't close. That's Brady's greatness. If you disagree that's fine, you're just a homer and dead wrong here. The data is too strong.

Did you happen to see the two touchdowns that were given to the Chiefs by the refs? Even the commentators noted, and talked about for several seconds, the play in which the Chiefs ran a blatant pick play, and which resulted in a 38-yard gain to the two-yard line, and a TD on the next play. That pick was a thousand times worse as a non-call than the roughing call was as a call; if you had bothered to watch the replay of the roughing-the-passer play closely you would have seen the Chiefs DL move his arm back into Brady's facemask after it hit his shoulder. Whereas there was no gray area whatsoever on the pick play, and it directly led to a TD.

The refs gave the Chiefs another TD when they called DPI in the end zone on the Patriots, despite the fact that the ball came down five yards away from the intended receiver (Kelce). An uncatchable ball makes it not pass interference, 100% of the time:

Section 5, Article 3, item c:
https://operations.nfl.com/media/3277/2018-nfl-rulebook_final-version.pdf

The refs also allowed the Chiefs to get away with DPI all game, while calling it multiple times on the Pats. So other than giving the Chiefs two TDs and calling a different standard all game against the Pats, yeah, they helped them a lot.

You either didn't watch the game or you selectively chose to see it with an agenda. If that game had been evenly called it never would have gone to OT and the Pats would have won going away.
Who the heck are you and why the heck are you so mad?
I said "The most blatant cheat THAT I HAVE SEEN". As in ME MYSELF and I. Don't come at me spitting vitriol from nowhere. Also, your simple as vanilla thought dichotomies reveal your lack of depth. Have a nice life.

Well they can argue it until they’re blue in the face, but it is not the consensus. By conventional measures, that being a combination of win %, championships, pro bowl/all pro selections, MVPs, super bowl MVPs, longevity, and raw statistics, Brady is simply the GOAT.

why in the heck does auto correct keep turning 'threw' - past tense into 'throw' in all my posts? I'm not as grammatically challenged as I appear. FYI

So you are saying that Peyton's backups would have beaten Florida? Brady wouldn't have seen any playing time. He barely started at Michigan when much less talented QBs were starting compared to TN.
Drew Henson was a super hyped cult hero up there. Brady had to overcome that mythos as an unheralded recruit from California who needed to send videotapes to bigger schools to get an offer. Back on point, Peyton’s BACKUP did beat Florida.
