I'm pretty sure that's called living above your means lol
Yes and no. A big part of it is having no context as a young person. My wife and I are very, very frugal, put saving money as priority number one, often sacrifice things we would like. We live well below our means. But that's a very different thing than what Hacksaw was saying IMO. What I thought would make me very well off and even "rich" as a college student is a fraction of what I now earn and have to manage, and I'm certainly not what I would call rich.
You know, it's funny...when you're young and not making a lot of money you always think, "Man, if I could just get a job that pays x-amount, all of my troubles would be over and I would be living on easy street."
But then, if you're lucky enough and you finally achieve that magical number, it somehow mysteriously seems to not go as far as you imagined it would.
L.A. is a great sports town. About 4 million people have found a way to live in L.A., so I'm sure that Rams players will survive quite comfortably on their monthly stipend. And I'm guessing most would choose the beaches of SoCal over places like Buffalo, Minneapolis, Green Bay or Cleveland.
That is not what I (or him) are saying, we know not all will get drafted, just hope never this bad or even close to this bad of not having any drafted.
Let's just hope we NEVER have to post a thread with this title EVER again.
Maybe that's what you mean but it's not even close to the post I responded to which had zero to do with draft numbers
I have been to all those places. And the last 4 you mentioned I would return to anytime. To hell with LA. Too many idiots there. And no, not just the famous ones. It felt like being in a dumping ground for the world's most selfish A-holes, unrealistic lamebrains, and self absorbed bums.
Maybe it's the quakes? I don't really know, and I REALLY don't care. I just know when I left, I felt like I was flying out of Hell.
He certainly seems much faster than that on gameday!!
Its a very easy transition moving inside from tackle. Maybe you havent heard that?
And BTW, there are more UFA's in the league than 1st round picks the last time I checked.
Yes he does. NFLDraftscout says his Pro Day time was 4.79, but he just wasnt prepared. His 29" vertical
would have been the worst at the Combine if not for Derunya Wilson. They also have him ranked at
#169 which is sort of baffling if you've seen him play.
