VFL Free Agent Signing Tracker

Yes he does. NFLDraftscout says his Pro Day time was 4.79, but he just wasnt prepared. His 29" vertical
would have been the worst at the Combine if not for Derunya Wilson. They also have him ranked at
#169 which is sort of baffling if you've seen him play.

How could you not be prepared for your Pro Day?

Curt could make that roster here in Indy. We have absolutely no pass rush, Mathis is almost 35, and he is nothing compared to what he was. That's literally it. He stays healthy, he won't just get a spot, he will get some snaps. Really hope it works out for him, and for the colts.
I'm surprised they didn't sign more OLB/DE rushers. Their defense is garbage, can't argue with Kelly in first round because he should be Luck's Jeff Saturday and be a starter day Day 1 and for a decade. Yet, we could have used a Lawson or Dodd. I mean we should have traded back in, or early second and to Jack. Risky to take him, but the guy is what a pure football player looks like, literally does it all. Of course the jags got him, and I'll see him tear up the colts for years.

Yeah, I know it's waaaay too early, but, it's the offseason...

2017 NFL Mock Draft - WalterFootball.com

11. San Diego Chargers: Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee
14. New York Giants: Jalen Reeves-Maybin, LB, Tennessee

I would probably have to add Cam Sutton somewhere in the 1st round to that. Not before Barnett or JRM but sometime afterwards. Probably a late 1st round pick somewhere between #20-#32.

Could go even a little higher depending on his 2016 season but I still think he's most definitely a 1st rounder. I know he doesn't make it past the 2nd round for sure.

IF Barnett can match his on field production from his first 2 seasons AND avoid the injury bug such that he's not having another surgery following the season, then I could see him going top 5. The NFL is crazy for pass rushers - I was surprised at the lack of college production from some of the higher picked pass rushers. Barnett's college numbers will be off the charts for a 3 year player.

Jackson is one of four Tennessee players who will attend a rookie minicamp in hopes of earning a free agent contract. He joins offensive tackle Kyler Kerbyson (Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints), linebacker Chris Weatherd (New Orleans Saints) and defensive tackle Owen Williams (Atlanta Falcons).

Four Tennessee players have already signed free agent contracts. Safety Brian Randolph and wide receiver Marquez North both signed with the Los Angeles Rams. Linebacker Curt Maggitt signed with the Indianapolis Colts and tight end Alex Ellis signed with the Tennessee Titans.

That's good. Despite all the poor decisions and lapses in judgment, he still has a shot to get paid for playing football. Would love to see him on their roster in September.
