JUST IN: The United States has seized two “ghost fleet” tanker ships including a Russian-flagged tanker linked to Venezuela following a multi-week long pursuit.

“In two predawn operations today, the Coast Guard conducted back-to-back meticulously coordinated boarding of two “ghost fleet” tanker ships— one in the North Atlantic Sea and one in international waters near the Caribbean,” Secretary Kristi Noem said.“Both vessels —the Motor Tanker Bella I and the Motor Taker Sophia—were either last docked in Venezuela or en route to it.”“

One of these tankers, Motor Tanker Bella I, has been trying to evade the Coast Guard for weeks, even changing its flag and painting a new name on the hull while being pursued, in a desperate and failed attempt to escape justice.”

“The heroic crew of the USCGC Munro pursued this vessel across the high seas and through treacherous storms— keeping diligent watch, and protecting our country with the determination and patriotism that make Americans proud…”

not knocking the coast guard here for carrying out orders, but what threat did these tankers represent to the US?

Wonder how much he'll take for himself?

But the DrUgS........

Trump lost money in his last 4 year term...intentionally by divesting himself from his own assets to avoid conflict of interest problems. He was worth more when he took office than when he left, by his choice. He also refused to take a salary as a president for himself. He paid to keep America from being run by Hillary and the Leftist degenerates for 4 years. Many millions of dollars. Thank God.

There are lots of easy ways to attack Trump and be truthful. He has the tact and class of a drunken sailor. The definition of a "bull in a china shop". Saying he uses the office to enrich himself or attacks/arrests people from foreign nations to put money in his own pocket is both lazy and ignorant. He can't take a dump without every Leftist TDS idiot on Earth examining the load to make sure he didn't waste any nutrients...to think he was stupid enough or able to seize foreign oil and somehow funnel the money into an account or LLC that he owns is just silly BS.

Right up there with the Epstein nonsense. The Epstein files that the Biden Administration had for 4 straight years while Trump clowned him on every form of media known to mankind yet not one iota of proof that Trump ever had anything to do with those girls was ever released by Biden. While they constantly made up ridiculous BS to TRY and slander him, had him arrested and raided his home, plotted at least 1 assassination attempt on him etc....but brain dead idiots in this very forum still scream to this very day that Trump is hiding the Epstein files and won't release them because HE is guilty. All that does is make the TDS afflicted easier to spot. It is truly insane how obsessed many of you are with this man. Letting a total stranger who has absolutely no effect on your day to day life dominate your thoughts is truly insane. If anything has changed that actually does affect our day to day, it's cheaper gas prices, less unemployment, record stock market increases, ending runaway Bidenflation etc. A better economy.

Democrats are still hung up on 47 fictional sexes, "trans" nonsense, pronouns, boys in girls sports, manufactured racism, "reparations", "Islamophobia" etc. Every single one of those issues is on the losing end of an 80/20 split when it comes to Americans supporting that or not. I hope the Dems continue to fight for all of them. We will have several Republican Administrations in a row and just might save this country.

I'm waiting for an answer. You got nothing

You are changing the definition of "at war" to narrowly limit it to full scale, all out, combat. You are changing it to avoid Trump's self-contradictory statements and actions.

In full context, his statements in the campaign of no more wars was clearly describing any sort of involvement of our military in anything overseas. Not just formally declared wars. We haven't been in one of those for decades. So spare me the falsehood that "what he meant was 'no more actual wars.'" Because in context he was referring to any foreign military action.

And he has now done so. A lot. And he's threatening to do it some more. A lot.

You, like the rest of the MAGA cult members yet to wake up and smell the obvious, were fooled by him yet again. He lied to you and everyone else yet again. To squirm and weasel it to mean something else proves only how far up his arse your head has gotten.

At this point, any party can disengage from the system -- so the U.S. can cut them off, the U.S. can cut off everyone, and everyone can just unplug. Reset is going to happen at some point, I guess a party can decide now might be the time.

It would appear the current setup has run its course.
Isolation?

Or maybe correct bad behavior

I don't believe you. I believe you are trying to enforce a narrow definition of 'war' to create a contradiction. Can you post the "context" that proves your point and highlights the contradiction?

In my mind "America First" by definition precludes a "no-global-action-period" interpretation. Not to mention that he's specifically listed the Monroe Doctrine as his blueprint, which is anything but isolationist.

I've posted this before, but it's a pretty good analysis.

I can't change the definition of a word that hasn't been defined. You want to pivot the conversation to the definition of war.

Let me rephrase the question and you can define war any way you choose. What war has Trump started?

Somalia, Iran, Venezuela. There have been others.

All involved significant US military action overseas.

Well, at that point everyone is isolated because there would be no system. What the U.S. has been doing for decades is attempting to correct what it sees as bad behavior i.e. sanctions and cut off from the global system.

The bank customer is coming to the bank, but the bank employees are firing at the customers. Well, at some point the customers just don't come to the bank.

Exactly my point. In context at the time, Trump was promising to keep US military out retrained and out of foreign skirmishes.

Now that he has a penchant for it, the cult is saying "that's not what he meant."
Then you're not making the point you think you are.

I asked above for example quotes of the context that clearly proves the contradiction. The definition you just responded about seems to indicate that "war" entails sustain combat and/or significant military forces, neither of which classify Trump's engagements as war. So, you need to give us the clear context that shows Trump was promising isolationism as opposed to America-First, Monroe/Jacksonian-ism.
