On the morning of March 14, 2019, the American flag was lowered for the last time at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas. This morning, March 14, 2026—at the very same hour—my team and I raised the flag of the United States, exactly seven years after it had been taken down.
A new era has begun for relations between the United States and Venezuela.
