The Last Dance - A 10-PART DOCUMENTARY EVENT

And then they got bounced in the 2nd round because they didn't have the PF yet.
Eh... Jordan was never quite back to his old form in 95 either. He came back late and it seems like he only played a month or so before the playoffs.

He played 21 games before the Magic series. He had his legs back and was awesome in the playoffs. He was dropping an efficient 31 ppg. They just didn't have enough around him.

“It’s my inane personality to win. It drives me insane when I can’t win.”

(Owns Hornets who haven’t won a playoff series in 12 years of ownership)

Reinsdorf/Krause deciding to rip the band aid off a dynasty in favor of a rebuild still blows my mind 20 years later. In some ways, you have to give management credit. In other ways, it was an absolute clown show.

I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to seeing Part 3 next Sunday.... Charles Oakley was an @$$hole; Scottie was underpaid compared to players who he performed better than. I can see how that can make him frustrated but he should’ve maybe went about it differently. Phil Jackson seems like a great person to hang around. I’d love to chat with him.

Jackie McMullen just nailed it. Jerry Krause wanted to be loved, but he was basically Dwight Shrute and never could get over it, so he broke it up.

Reinsdorf is insanely loyal to management. He kept Paxson and Forman way too long after Krause. He kept Krause over Phil. Kept Kenny Williams too long. Rick Hahn has been GM for like 8 years despite not making the playoffs. It’s very odd. And Krause was done with Phil no matter what. It would never happen in today’s world.

Scottie’s agent at that time?

Jimmy Sexton
Lol... Did not know that.

They probably overplayed that contract extension that he signed a little bit. $2.5 million a year in 1991 wasn’t bad at the time. It wasn’t particularly crafty by Krause or stupid by Pippen. Scottie just had the misfortune of signing it right before salaries skyrocketed.

After the show was over SVP was talking about Pippen's deal and said he was the 122nd highest paid player in the league that year. For context, this year it's Andre Roberson.
