Headed to Destin in the morning
Planning on playing The Raven at Sandestin and Kelly Plantation
Haig Point on Daufuskie Island. If you can get on Long Cove by some miracle, do that over everything else. The Fazio course at Palmetto Dunes is also an amazing track, but it's tough.Sweet! Bring some extra ammo to Kelly -- I remember going through quite a few balls when I played there (although it's been a while. . . .).
I played the RTJ course at Palmetto Dunes this AM -- HOT and humid over here. The course was fantastic, but a little on the "short and snug" side for me. I only hit driver on about 4 holes and probably should have unsheathed it twice. The 3 wood was working well and left usually a short iron if properly placed. The par-5 10th is beautiful with a fantastic oceanside green.
I also played a course just on the mainland from Hilton Head called Eagle's Pointe, earlier in the week. Had an even 80, one away from finally breaking the mark!
We're considering Harbor Town Friday, but $250 seems like a lot of dough for what will most likely be a frustrating (but breathtaking) round. Anybody have other recommendations?
Fairways and greens, fellas,
KD
this is one thread where I not all for realism. My jingoism will be on full display next week.
I'm in a wedding and am considering wearing a US Flag has a do rag during the ceremony.

I'm a huge Masters fan, but nothing matches the rivalry here. It's the lone golf tourney that I can get the same feelings I would at a UT - Alabama football game.I prefer the masters...but to each his own...

There is no doubt in my mind that I will once again hate Paul Casey and Miguel A. Jiminez and Ian Poulter by Sunday.
Does any keep any old Woods for display purposes?
I just had some Ping Eye2's refinshed, and I had a set of Persimmon MacGregor's already.
