74 for my first round in 8 months. Pretty ecstatic about that. Makes me want to get out and play more

My first round of the year was last Sunday at Willow Creek. 92. I had a 12 on #3 lol! Three balls out of bounds! I played really well all day except that one hole.

I play River Islands this Sunday.

Anyone played Twelve Stones in Hendersonville lately? I used to like that course but two years ago it was in such terrible shape and I've never been back.

:bad::bad::bad:

Dont do it!

If you like putts on sand traps in the middle of the green than yea go for it. So much sand on the greens its crazy! This course is so bad. Can't hit out of traps bc its all weeds and the greens are such a joke. The only way i would play there again this year(tried twice) is if they paid me to play. Such a waste of time and money.

Ouch. After a 12, I would have started drinking.

How about Conastee Falls its in that area? It's in my First Tee book I bought Friday when I played. Has 9 local courses & you get to play twice for just cart rental at each.

I have never broke 80. That is awesome. 84 is my best ever. I was proud to break 100 at the White Witch course in Jamaica. That was with 2 caddies.

84 is my best as well - shot it twice. Breaking 80 is tough for the weekend warriors.

If anyone is looking for some decent, easy to hit hybrids that won't break the bank, I would recommend Nike Sumo SQ hybrids.

I've got the 2 and 4 - they are the most forgiving hybrids I've ever played. They are fairly older clubs - so you can get them for cheap.

I've never played a hybrid. Getting fitted for new irons, Mizuno 825 pros, and it only comes with 4-AW. I need a 3 hybrid I guess. Thoughts?

See how the irons are lofted. Most of the newer sets are lofted strong. Just guessing I'd say the 4 iron is about 21*-23*. If you hit long irons better than hybrids you may wanna get another long iron. If you get a hybrid just try & fit it in between your 4 & 3 wood or whatever you have next. Of course you could opt for a fw wood too.

Get one. I went for years without one and finally gave in. It will blow your mind the places you can hit one from and still get a good ball flight.

...and I'm a guy that used to carry a 1 iron.

I carry a 2 iron and hit it well. It's my go to when the driver is t working. What hybrids do you recommend?

I asked if I could order 3-PW in these clubs and it isn't available. I could always keep my 2 iron from my current set in my bag. I rarely hit long irons off the fairway so having a 3 iron isn't a big deal i guess. I Like hitting my 2 iron of the tee on tight fairways.

My irons are 10 years old.

Only club newer than that is the Taylor made r7 I bought my dad. He didn't like it so I kept it

Shot my best nine ever at 2 over. Then the sky opened up at the turn and I fished with a 9 over 81. Personal record.... if only it didn't start raining.
