and all of a sudden my irons feel foreign to me and I can't hit one square. Thinking about a new set anyway. Playing X-18 pro series by Callaway. Never have hit another stick outside of Callaway since I started playing. I'm not good enough for blades and I'm a little tired of the offset.

I'll take suggestions, though it can't be Titleist.

Cobra amp (2012 model) or cobra amp cell (2013 model). I don't know the exact model but Mizuno has some cavity backs with little offset.

Hard to diagnose something like without even knowing where the ball is starting? He could be hitting the over the top slice, the block slice, the up and out slice, the late release slice, the hang back slice, the hang on slice etc etc etc.
Correct, seeing the swing & ball flight path would help. Gave a very common problem causing the slice. Kept it simple to cut down on confusion.

Thanks BOW, and GA. I will try to video when I go out again and put it on here.
Do video from behind you. Good angle to give enough info

you left out the big bannana slice

I also left out the shaved ham, the slider, the Chinese Pitchout, the Mickey Mantle, the hosel rocket, the snap fade, the toe pick, the butt cut and my personal favorite . . . The giraffe's ass.

Go to a demo day in your area. If it's a big one most of big dealers will be there & you can hit all the latest. Based on your avatar location here are 2 big one's that are scheduled for your area soon:
Hermitage Golf Course - Old Hickory, TN
April 10, 2010 - 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Ping, Callaway, Titleist, Nike, Cobra, Mizuno, Cleveland, Taylor Made

Forrest Crossing Golf Course - Franklin, TN
April 24, 2010 - 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Adams, Callaway, Titleist, Nike, Mizuno, Ceveland/Srixon, US Kids, Taylor Made, Touredge

Call the locations the day of the event, these things some times get postponed without notice

Thanks for the help. Going to golf galaxy now to swing a few and maybe trade in. I have gone full mental on my irons and have to make a change.
I gotta be the most mentally weak golfer around. Certain clubs and balls just get in my head and there is no fixing it.

Sounds like a carbon copy of where I was 6 months ago.

It ain't the sticks...

You're right, but I think there does come a time when it's prudent to get out of a player's iron and let technology do some of the work.

If it's been more than a few years since you've tried anything, it can be a little shocking when you start testing the new stuff.

I agree with you. Just something my Dad always says to me when I talk about new clubs...

True but the way manufactures market new gear they want you to think it is. Everything is 15 yds longer. This driver, that ball & these tees on & on….with all the marketing hype today, a drive is good for at least 150 yds off the box & the club hasn’t even been swung. I don’t buy into it & never will.
Ping Eye2 irons can stand against anything produced today that’s in the same type category. Grooves don't comply & heads are ugly but still

got some Mizunos. No longer using offset either, but they felt good.

I'm sure I'll be *****ing about them soon enough, as the problem with my lack of rotation through the ball won't fix itself. Holding on badly and my grip is too much in my palm, which pretty much prevents rotation. Problem is that the grip up on my fingers feels weird as hell and hurts my wrist a little.

Which Mizunos?
