Suppose to play Muskgrove Mill in Clinton one day next week. Greens are suppose to be ridiculous.

Googled it, looked nice form the few pics. No course layout & didn't get much from scorecard. Did notice 4 holes from the tips have 2 yardages listed on sc. That's unusual. Greens bent or bermuda?

It's a private course. Greens are suppose to be super fast & crazy undulating. Not sure what greens are grass wise.

Looks like you’re in for an awesome treat there!!

A few current reviews on it:
“This is one of only a few courses where I can say EVERY hole is memorable!”
“I have played golf for over forty years and this course ranks in my top 3 (with Pebble Beach and Pinehurst #2).”
“It's not for the faint of heart or those with an ego handicap/”
“Put this one on your bucket list”
“Very secluded and isolated, no people for miles around.”
“I have never played a layout as impressive as this. WOW!”
“The first hole has more going on from tee to green than some courses manage on the whole front nine.”

Only info on greens found say bent. Rating 74 / Slope 140 from the backs are very tough numbers. 2 boxes up easies the numbers to 68.7/126.
Signature hole # 7, a 189-yard, par 3, calls for a tee shot over the bend in the Enoree River to reach the green. The Enoree River borders six other holes.

Went to the driving range for the first time today. Still haven't play golf, but I noticed a few things. I spent most of my time using a 5 iron. As a right handed golfer, I kept "slicing" the ball to the right. What do I do to fix this? Some times I would hit it good, directly down the middle, but never consistently.

Start with your grip. Get some lessons. If you can't get on YouTube & look around. Tons of instruction & good videos.

The best thing to do is video tape your swing and then break it down with someone who is qualified. ie. so no one this board, more than likely.

You're starting your downswing "over the top" referred to as casting the club striking the right side of the ball with a closed club face. This causes the ball to spin left to right which creates the slice. See this all the time, it's very common.
Club face has to be square at impact striking the back of the ball. The downswing has to be started with the hips 1st & not the arms.
Jim McLean 8 step swing video is the absolute best at explaining this & showing how to fix it. Watch it several times & practice & you'll see a big difference.

Hard to diagnose something like without even knowing where the ball is starting? He could be hitting the over the top slice, the block slice, the up and out slice, the late release slice, the hang back slice, the hang on slice etc etc etc.

Thanks BOW, and GA. I will try to video when I go out again and put it on here.

and all of a sudden my irons feel foreign to me and I can't hit one square. Thinking about a new set anyway. Playing X-18 pro series by Callaway. Never have hit another stick outside of Callaway since I started playing. I'm not good enough for blades and I'm a little tired of the offset.

I'll take suggestions, though it can't be Titleist.
