On further reflection I have decided that you were in fact correct. I had mistakenly assume you meant closer to the AMERICAN center. When I contemplated her over the top antisemitism, her advocacy of extreme environmental controls, and her love of centralized economic controlAnd you lose that $500.
Oh, I did mean the American center. Stick with your first instincts; even though they are almost always wrong, it's still a better average than when you second guess yourself. On further reflection I have decided that you were in fact correct. Of the economy coupled with a cradle to grave social support policy that you obviously meant she was closer to the National Socialism center. Heck, if not for her gender, she could walk up the the podium at the Zeppelin Field during the annual Nuremberg Party Congress and receive a standing ovation.
You guys crack me up - (which is just code for what I really wanted to say)
That's a great meeting point because I agree 100% with what you said.I'm going to meet you half way as an act of good faith. I'm glad you're seeing success in the public school system. It's imperative for us to compete globally in the 21st century. We need to get more parents on board to take a vested interest in the child's future. That starts with strong family like your kids and mine.
I’m definitely not looking to throw a blanket over all school districts. But ours locally is just a train wreck and has been for years. The worst part is that the solution feeds the problem when affluent students with involved parents leave the school system. Our districts send kids to the top universities year in and year out. Public schools provide the opportunity to receive an excellent education. It's just unfortunate that so many parents aren't up to the task of assuring their kids take advantage.
Many parents use private schools as a way to transfer their parental obligations to the school.
And that's fine by me.
I’d argue that him rebelling against Covid mandates, particularly the Vaccine is one of the best examples of giving power back to the people in recent years. Or are you referring to something else? I also agree with him prohibiting state funded school officials from pushing sexual content on children.DeSantis has demonstrated some pretty authoritarian tendencies over the past couple of years.

He rebelled against the awful federal mandates in the wrong way. His mandates were just as authoritarian and power stripping as the federal ones were. I applaud him standing up to the fed .gov he just did it the wrong way.
So what you are saying is that the antiisemitic socialist who says capitalism is evil and that we should tax cow farts is somehow closer to the American center than a wildly popular governor who wins statewide elections in one of the country’s most diverse states?Oh, I did mean the American center. I think I understand now![]()
There's enough outcry to something that is allegedly not an issue to prove it is an issue. It's effective and it's supported. Tough scene for you.Liking it and it being effective legislation are 2 separate ideas
Getting your child the best education possible is not an elitist idea and more than other purchase choices.
It only matters if the public schools are a liberal indoctrination center and you don't agree with it. The are fat dumb and happy with worthless ideology being taught in public schools. If you don't like it, just pay for private school or home school your kids. No big deal right? There's enough outcry to something that is allegedly not an issue to prove it is an issue. It absolutely is. It's the same realm as "just buy an electric car if you don't like $5 gas". Not everyone has the money to send their kids to a 20-30k a year school.
