You would need a viable 3rd party to make this actually come to fruition. However, if the 3rd party takes a big chunk out of only 1 of the major political parties then it will never happen. Neither side wants to basically hand over control of the house and senate for decades to their rivals. Their supporters don't want that either.

Or I think what you really need are term limits. The founders never in their worst nightmares that politics would be a lifelong career and that some political individuals would literally go from school to their grave without working a single day in the real world. The mind that exists only in the political world for decades cannot in any way think or function in a normal way.

I think you missed the "but if this really scales up" part of my post. Take the govt doubling/tripling down wherever they can and everyone that isn't down with that and is able pulling their kids and putting them somewhere else for the specific purpose of putting them where there are (depending on a lot of variables) some or even strongly different ideologies being taught? And wouldn't this obviously pull educators themselves (faculty/boards/etc) in those directions only accelerating any divides?

Youre right in that it's not remotely the same everywhere even now. I'm positing if this road leads to a "Well, I guess it's their way or the highway so we're going to take the latter." en masse (and not just Wall St kids vs inner city kids) you don't think that would do anything other than make things even worse?

It may be elitist for some, but I'm afraid it's just a sad reality in some places. I live in a large county where literally 30% of the kids are in private school. Some of that is probably a 50 year hangover from integration, but most of it is just a result of the piss poor condition of the school system and its bloated bureaucracy.

No you just need a smarter electorate. There are people hoping for another Trump v Biden POTUS election.

A legit 3rd party option would take from both. Fiscally conservative, socially liberal encompasses way more people than either party would admit. It's why they act like those matter every few years to take back the lead

Term limits simply limit voting options. I don't want the govt laws telling me who I can or can't elect to represent my interests. It's election interference

Same feeling here. I don't want term limits I want congress to revert back to a part time job with no pension or benefits. That in itself will limit the terms.

I see that point. But no one is meant to spend their entire adult life occupying a congressional seat. We had enough wisdom to eventually limit the Presidency after FDR basically played the President for Life game like Putin. Time to apply the same prescription to “Congressman for Life”. This is one of the RARE times when I say “amend the constitution”. But I respect your viewpoint here. This position was not arrive at easily for me.

Banning children from mutilating their body before they're even an adult (do what you want after that) is the bad side? Upside down world. Let's be real if a child is "transgender" their mental health is already ruined.

Regarding government service. George Washington set the perfect example here. He consciously emulated the Roman leader Cincinnatus and literally returned to his own farm after serving his country only for the length of time needed. Almost alone among historical leaders of his stature, he voluntarily gave up power of his own accord, even when begged by his countrymen to stay. Like Bilbo, he was maybe the only one to voluntarily part with the One Ring.

How DARE legislators tell anyone under the age of 18 what they cannot do!!! Give every kindergartner a fifth of whisky, a drivers license, and an assault rifle! Otherwise you are literally worse than Hitler. (That was obviously sarcasm Just in case the coffee hasn’t kicked in yet)

Our districts send kids to the top universities year in and year out. Public schools provide the opportunity to receive an excellent education. It's just unfortunate that so many parents aren't up to the task of assuring their kids take advantage.
Many parents use private schools as a way to transfer their parental obligations to the school.
And that's fine by me.
