Absolutely agree and they continue to do it. No one wants to stop voting for their tribe long enough to change. This forum is full of those people
Or I think what you really need are term limits. The founders never in their worst nightmares that politics would be a lifelong career and that some political individuals would literally go from school to their grave without working a single day in the real world. The mind that exists only in the political world for decades cannot in any way think or function in a normal way.You would need a viable 3rd party to make this actually come to fruition. However, if the 3rd party takes a big chunk out of only 1 of the major political parties then it will never happen. Neither side wants to basically hand over control of the house and senate for decades to their rivals. Their supporters don't want that either.

So? All education is not equal anyways and already happens based on school system and available funds. Inner city in NYC getting the same education as Wall Street kids?
It may be elitist for some, but I'm afraid it's just a sad reality in some places. I live in a large county where literally 30% of the kids are in private school. Some of that is probably a 50 year hangover from integration, but most of it is just a result of the piss poor condition of the school system and its bloated bureaucracy.Lol just send your kids to private school is such an elitest mentality.
I got a handful of friends in elementary education here in north fl and all of them like the bill.
No you just need a smarter electorate. There are people hoping for another Trump v Biden POTUS election. You would need a viable 3rd party to make this actually come to fruition. Term limits simply limit voting options. I don't want the govt laws telling me who I can or can't elect to represent my interests. I see that point. But no one is meant to spend their entire adult life occupying a congressional seat. We had enough wisdom to eventually limit the Presidency after FDR basically played the President for Life game like Putin. Time to apply the same prescription to “Congressman for Life”. This is one of the RARE times when I say “amend the constitution”. But I respect your viewpoint here. This position was not arrive at easily for me.Term limits simply limit voting options. Biden tears into 'political attacks' on Transgender children: Slams bills stopping them getting puberty blockers, stopping biological boys playing sport against girls and Florida's 'Don't Say Gay Bill' for 'damaging mental health'
President Biden on Wednesday tore into the 'political attacks' on transgender children coming from state legislators across the country such as Florida's so-called 'Don't Say Gay' bill.
'Visibility matters, and so many transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming Americans are thriving,' Biden said in a statement marking Transgender Visibility Day. 'Despite this progress, transgender Americans continue to face discrimination, harassment, and barriers to opportunity.'
Biden said that in 2021 and 2022, states had proposed 'hundreds of ant-transgender bills. 'Efforts to criminalize supportive medical care for transgender kids, to ban transgender children from playing sports, and to outlaw discussing LGBTQI+ people in schools undermine their humanity and corrode our Nation's values.'
On Wednesday, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed a bill that would ban anyone under the age of 18 from getting gender reassignment surgery and limiting transgender girls from playing in girls' sports.
Arizona joins a dozen other states with limits on sports participation for trans girls and becomes the third state to try and limit health care options for transgender teens.
Since last year, bans have been introduced in at least 25 states, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. This week, lawmakers in Oklahoma also passed a ban.

How DARE legislators tell anyone under the age of 18 what they cannot do!!! Give every kindergartner a fifth of whisky, a drivers license, and an assault rifle! Otherwise you are literally worse than Hitler. (That was obviously sarcasm Just in case the coffee hasn’t kicked in yet)Banning children from mutilating their body before they're even an adult (do what you want after that) is the bad side? Upside down world. Let's be real if a child is "transgender" their mental health is already ruined.
Our districts send kids to the top universities year in and year out. Public schools provide the opportunity to receive an excellent education. It's just unfortunate that so many parents aren't up to the task of assuring their kids take advantage. It may be elitist for some, but I'm afraid it's just a sad reality in some places. Many parents use private schools as a way to transfer their parental obligations to the school.
And that's fine by me.
