See what he can give you knowing he is the guy with a full week or 2 with the starters. Move on from Guarantano!

This way, you know for sure that Bailey is not only your future, but your now!

What do you have to lose in doing this? Shrout gets a fair shot, JG is out, and Bailey is the backup!

No thanks. He not only stared down the wr on his only pass he double pumped just to make sure the db had plenty of time to get the int. He's lived off his one great throw last year vs SC long enough. Roll with Bailey.

Start Shrout or BM for Bama. Let HB start against Arkansas with 2 full weeks of prep time. Move Beckwith to TE. Make the running backs work everyday on chip blocking.

We need to find out who is going to set our standard and enforce it. On D I’m calling out Henry T and on O big Trey needs to step up. Put in the work study your assessments and most importantly communicate with each other. The teams who have found ways to do this during COVID are the ones who are winning.

The season is not what we want it to be but it’s time to put on more steam. We have talented kids but we have to stop making it so easy on the other teams.

I agree on bailey. If our line can’t keep him from getting hurt against bama then we don’t have any business playing in this league. He needs to play against the best and learn. Give him the same
Patience as JG. JG had four years. Thanks for your service, but it’s time to play someone else that can give us a chance going forward. If it’s not bailey, throw salter in there next year. No more BS.

I agree. They did it to Maurer last year with 2 weeks prep, so let’s see how good Bailey really is.

We may not see how good he is until much later. There will be some mistakes, but you live with it and teach from it. If he's the real deal, he'll show improvement week to week

The thing is, you need to make the decision now. Can't be any if scenarios so and so takes over. You pick one and roll with him. Need to spend all of the first team reps this week getting the new qb ready.

...and according to Pruitt did not send a receiver in motion on the play. He may not even have a handle on the playbook. No excuse if that is true.

Maurer has the ability to take the job and run with it...JMO, but that is no longer his intentions (thanks Pruitt). If Bailey is your future, then put ALL prep work into him right now! This whole starting another QB as a sacrificial lamb to Bama mindset is the dumbest idea, and creates a culture of failure.
If Maurer shows well against Bama then what? You bench him next game?? Now think about the position that puts Bailey in if you start him...
Bailey is your future. Spend every moment preparing him. JG can always come off the bench as a hero...

We don't even use our TE position hardly and Beckwith is needed for size at RB and his versatility out wide.

Shrout is a complete non-factor. This is already known.
At least under this coaching regime. Everyone knows he crossed the country to follow his girlfriend to college.

He will turn the football over, and put us in a whole against Bama early.

Give Bailey most of the prep work. Start JG the first series. Then bring in Bailey, so he could see a whole series of how Bama's live before actually having to face them. Then you go from there.
1) This approach takes pressure off JG, as he knows he's just kick the game off. Minimizes mental error risk...
2) Bailey gets to see Bama without actually facing them right from the jump.

Our defense can play with their offense for a series or 3.

based on what? because what we saw was him exploit a simple read until teams took it away and then he was "not very good at all".

oh, and chances of beating Bama anyways is.....? sounds like ur afraid he may do something good
