Bottom line is 11-1 is tremendous 2nd year. Go out and take care of business. Broke alot of terrible streaks now lets take care of business
If offered at the beginning of the season, who'd have taken 11-1 with the only loss being to UGA @UGA by 14 pts?

I'd have taken it all day long, no questions asked. Actually, I wouldn't have bought that, because I'd have been convinced it was a scam--too good to be true.

Go take care of the rest of the schedule, boys, and let everything else work its way out. We're proud of you, and thank you for the hard work and the pleasant surprise of our exceeded expectations.

Repost from the FF. Don’t worry. I showered and attended therapy before entering.

Chances of each team losing a game before the end of the season per ESPN FPI.

Tennessee 23%
Alabama 38%
UGA 39%
OSU 46%
Clemson 64%
Michigan 79%
Oregon 84%
USC 85%
UCLA 89%
LSU 91%
TCU 97%
OM 98%
First time I ever remember saying this but, I’m thankful for the front/middle loaded schedule.

Uhmm..if Hooker hits those 3-4 shots and backshoulders Ced on that INT...you are not sitting here talking about how great their DBs are.

Those misses by Hendon were HUGE in the perception if this game. Any time you play a good defense you have to the opportunities you get...those opportunities are at a premium. The absolute fact is that there were several (not two) WIDE open plays against that unbeatable, insurmountable defense and HH didn't make them yesterday....but they were there to be made.
I don’t care if we hit those 2 throws (DB beat Tillman). They played great. Majority, if not every sack was due to them either in coverage or blitzing

If I told you we'd be 8-1 at this point, but you get to pick the loss. . . would you leave everything how it has played out or would you swap a Bama win with the UGA loss?

1st thought is would swap it for no other reason than they are in the east.

2nd thought is that would take away one of the greatest moment AT HOME in many years.

Final thought is I believe I'd just keep it as is. That home crowd, on that field, after the kick is truly priceless and something I'll never forget.

So many in here avoiding how deflating this loss is. Not saying we can't win-out and have a great season. Hooker's goal was the Championship game in Atlanta. Dream 15-0 season gone. These 2 storylines are off the table plus losing just plain hurts. Miss. St. and UK aren't beating UGA. Gotta stand and dust-off Vols. Now the tests of character come. It's a game, I know. But holding the high ground is what we all want to see.

I think most of us here are simply grateful for this incredible season

It's not as deflating as you think. It's likely to serve as more motivation. If we win out in impressive fashion, they get a chance for a rematch most likely. It's about style points now. We have to blow out our remaining opponents. If TCU doesn't lose to Texas or Baylor, then the only scenario that I see us not getting in is if LSU wins the SEC championship.
I guess a 1 loss conference champion Oregon could also be a possibility.

I’ll most definitely take that Bama win over Georgia. Snapping the streak and all that took place inside Neyland was one to be remembered forever.

And we get to miss Atlanta and make the playoff, which almost feels like an advantage.

LSU has a 0% chance of making it, even with winning SEC championship. They won’t put a 2 loss team in with all these 1 loss teams out there with great resumes.

This is where I am. I have held strongly to my preseason expectation of an 8-4 regular season. We've achieved it, and I'm quite happy. We have a chance to significantly exceed that expectation, and maybe even back door our way into the college football playoff. That's unreal. I'm stoked.

Yesterday's performance stunk, but I don't think anyone was beating UGA on Saturday in that environment. They just whipped us fair and square. It's exceedingly rare to go undefeated, and yesterday's environment is the reason why.

Sure, we lost out on the absolute best outcome(s), but you're talking about scratching off 4 or 5 "dream season" goals. We can all acknowledge that and move forward understanding that the other 20+ goals that make a season successful are still on the table.

The dominos are set and as fate would have it, it’s all coming to plan.

In a show of conference realignment power, #1 UGA plays #4 Michigan in the Peach Bowl, and #2 OSU plays #3 Tennessee in the Fiesta, setting up a nice SEC rematch in beautiful SoFi Stadium with great weather, welcoming crowd and good ole Tennessee traveling WTFA hospitality.

The boys will be good.. 14-1 GBO!!
