My thoughts on the CFP/ Here is my rankings for Tuesday.
1 GA
2. OSU
3. Michigan
4. TCU
5. VOLS
6. Oregon
7. LSU
8 USC

We need to be rooting for Texas next Saturday. That would move us up to 4th. Then we should move up to 3rd after OSU and Mich play.
Final poll imo
1. GA
2. OSU/Mich winner
3. VOLS
4. Pac 12 champ with 1 loss or TCU with 1 loss
If Tennessee can get into the playoffs that’s another recruiting pitch

It was mostly recruiting. Good game play but he had the horses to actually execute it. Hooker also didn’t play well at all.
It’s not mostly just recruiting. Plenty of coaches recruit well and do not consistently field top 3 teams. Bama recruits as good as anyone and we hung 52 on them. Hate them, but Kirby and Muschamps game plan was one of the best you’ll see

Hooker didn’t play well because of the gameplan. You can’t magically complete passes when nobody is open and you’re getting hit as soon you release the ball

Saying TN is even remotely in GA's area code in terms of talent because Stetson Bennet is a former walk-on is maybe the single most disingenuous point I've seen made on these here interwebs.
Thanks… I mean the faster more physically talented team dominated yesterday. While coaches had our guys in position to make plays they simply couldn’t. Need more studs. That’s just the bottom line

Ehh. Glad the defense played well, but we don't do moral victories here. Plus, I think the rain forced them to be more run focused which we were able to key on. If the weather stays dry I don't know that we would've faired as well as we did.

Either way, it doesn't matter. We took the L, but we are moving on to the next game. No dwelling on stats for wins or losses. Just refocus onto the next game and keep moving forward.

So do we want Ole Miss to hand Saban his 3rd loss of the season or do we want the top three teams in the West to all have 2 losses? Hard to choose.
Alabama and LSU are still really good wins for our resume. Not that I would ever root for Bama, but their winning helps us. Plus, it takes the West completely out of the playoff picture for them all to have 2 losses.

Rough day yesterday guys/gals. We def got taken to the Train station.

Mistake after mistake, we just looked overmatched in every way.

Gotta just take it week to week from here on out and I think we still get to the playoffs.

Cannot look past Mizzo or SC
This is the key… We absolutely cannot look past anyone, because we can’t just show up in our talent teams for the most part. Georgia has clearly been doing that a few weeks this year, but when properly motivated, they showed exactly what the roster is about.

Long post incoming:

Just looking at the drive chart and it's clear just how many times we shot ourselves in the foot on offense. Did UGA defense play lights out? Yes. Did the crowd noise really effect us? Absolutely, no doubt. Did we still have chances to be in the ball game and score? YES.

We had FOUR drives that were stalled just due to our OL false starting because of their crowd noise alone. One of those drives you could argue the other way as we actually got bailed out by that 4th down sack facemask penalty and then couldn't move the ball. We had 2 drives stall in the UGA redzone due to penalties alone. Hard to win any game with these type of issues.

But just look at this drive chart:

FIRST HALF:

1st drive - Get a first down on 2 plays, false start on 1st and 15, get it to 3rd and 5, another false start. Have to take 3 points.

2nd drive - Get a first down on 2 plays, false start on 1st and 15. End up Punting.

3rd drive - 3 and out after endzone fumble disaster.

4th drive - 1st down on nice run on 1st down, then we punt after 3 straight plays.

5th drive - We start really moving the ball. best drive of the day... until we get to the UGA 9 yard line. 2 straight false starts on 3rd and 2 and suddenly, drive over after 3rd and 12 doesn't convert.

6th drive - we get a nice 1st down into UGA territory again.. but Hooker throws pick.

2ND HALF:

1st drive- Move the ball up to UGA 41.. give up 2 sacks in 3 plays. Have to punt.

2nd drive- Gets a first down and up to around midfield. FUMBLE. We get the ball back after 1 play.

3rd drive- Overcome another early false start, but move the ball AGAIN. Get down to UGA 17 yard line and it goes sack, false start, sack, false start, lucky facemask break. 4 straight plays after that we don't move the ball.

4th drive - FINALLY put together a complete drive with a really good catch on 4th to Hyatt. TD.

5th drive - Get a 1st down, 4 straight plays go no where. Game over.

The truth of the matter in this game is we killed ourselves just as much as UGA defense killed us. The crowd noise absolutely bothered us, 100%, and helped almost single handedly stall FOUR drives. Get this game to a neutral site field with us knowing now how they will game plan us, and us not completely *****ing the bed, and this offense CAN score on that defense.
And you didn't even list the wide open plays in the stalled drives we missed despite ALL of that.

And if Hooker backshoulders Ced on that int it is a HUGE play instead of a int.
