Surprisingly, is agree.I wouldn't mind the infinite cbj rehash if a single poster made one point that hasn't been already been made on here 1 ZILLION TIMES ALREADY.

I made my point, you and the other couple keep changing it so that you have something to argue.
I'll do it one more time since you guys have changed it so much, most have probably forgotten what was actually said.
Neither me or the VQ guys said he never recruited anyone (clear enough?)
They, and I, said that Jones "filled his classes with paper 4 stars", therefore raising the class rankings higher but those filler players were never SEC caliber.
Pruitt could do that but only makes the fans feel better and it's pointless.
Now, you can prove any of that wrong without you or Hank changing it AGAIN?
When he fired the first guy, the intern S&C coach made 70k a year. Butch let a guy that made less than half this board a year run the most important part of his program. Butch is a minor league coach and that's what we got in return.I'm in the camp that the S&C coach and lack of leadership were huge factors. We had record setting injuries under Butch and it got worse every year. The team grew less disciplined in the weight room. We were a small team by SEC standards. We became lazy to the point they didn't seem to care at all in 2017 INCLUDING Butch.
agreed. err'body 6'3" 220. lol.I'd also lean towards it was being on the coaching staff than it was the actual evaluations of the recruits. I just don't bye that Butch recruited fluffed up recruits that teams really didn't want.
Though a lot of the three stars Butch recruited legitimately had poor offer lists. I'd definitely say Pruitt and his staff lands much better and more sought after three stars prospects.
I'm already done. As I already discussed "offer lists" vs recruited hard. Don't care for circle debates. So I guess I'll do this one more time...who were these filler 4 star players? I went through every class Butch had while here and the only 4 star who didn't have another SEC offer was Vonn Pearson, per 247 composite rating & offer list on -their- website.
Big difference is that some of us on here understand that and don't squirt a poop biscuit every time a 17 year old commits to another school in May. Or June. The veterans of the recruiting wars understand the changing times and that it is a marathon, not a sprint. I actually love this slow building class and putting eggs in the big boy baskets. Its refreshing and will make it all the more fun come December.
Are you mainly in Knoxville for the time being or are you doing more traveling? Any trips to Western NC?If anyone in Knoxville is interested, I’ll be speaking at Life Church on Cedar Lane Sunday at 9:00 and 10:45 and at John Sevier Baptist off Rutledge Pike at 6:00 pm.
It’s be nice to meet any of you afterwards, maybe a little knife fight in the back alley if time allows
He Must be negative often because I don't see his posts. In all seriousness though, I will debate with negative opinions and mess with people who seem like trolls or just have awful takes, hank, but there's been plenty of times when I've defended negative posters, and hank, because the optimistic pessimistic balance is what makes the board great. Even when I completely disagree with them. Hell, catbone is one of my favorite posters. But the "I was the only one telling y'all we should be worried and everyone attacked me" thing is what I was giving you ish about because it's an overused complaint by posters who tend to always respond to any positive posts with negative or sarcastic replies. Then act surprised when people try to convince them it's not as bad as they think. Not saying yer always negative, just that post could have been copy and pasted from any number of normally negative posters.
