1970s are on line 2.
Born in 59. High School during mid-seventies. It was a crappy decade in some respects(esp. during the Carter years) But it was by far the greatest decade for music and will never be topped imo. And the Monte Carlos, Gran Prix"s etc produced during that era were fantastic rides.

One player the Vols appear to be looking into is Albany defensive Jared Verse, the FCS breakout star who had 11.5 tackles and 9.5 sacks for the Great Danes this season and on Friday told 247Sports national college football writer Chris Hummer that he's hoping to visit Tennessee and is waiting on an offer from the Vols while also considering the likes of Iowa, Florida State, Houston and Purdue, among others.

Edit: He’s a Redshirt Freshman

The 80s are easily the worst decade in modern human history. Terrible fashion, largely forgettable music and many failed genres, the rise of the yuppie and wall street greed culture, and the cars were downright HIDEOUS. It's like everyone lost their mind and sense of aesthetics for a decade...maybe a little longer.

I blame the 1980 UGA football team. The world should never forget.
It was fun as hell though

I think that was the post that got me seriously addicted to reading this message board. You guys were in the throes of a coaching search, messages were accumulating by 20-30 pages per hour, and I was following the comments about this aged, mute poster called Neyland Rising, working his or her way through the backlog and handing out likes on comments that were several days old. I'd had a couple or three drinks and was perusing this thread late at night and suddenly I saw his practically uninterpretable first statement, just a newly synthesized word that somehow invoked the current state of that debacle and the hoped for outcome. That's the hardest I've ever laughed at a message board, couldn't stop for 20 minutes. Maybe the best post ever written here.

Bs. You know how I know that’s bs? The fact that Milton started the season ahead of the others. Beasley dove at the ankles of the ky quarterback about 7 or 8 times during that game. Every single time the qb went for an additional 4 or 5 yards after contact. It was the most pathetic/cowardly performance I’ve ever seen out of a linebacker. To say we don’t have a linebacker on the roster willing and capable of taking on the quarterback up high is a joke. The qb should’ve been absolutely lit up over and over again in that game.
Calling bs because of Milton starting the season shows how uninformed you are about the program. All reports from pre-season camp (these are reports from VFLs) indicated that Milton clearly was the most consistent and accurate QB in practice and in scrimmages. You don't know that someone has the "yips" until the lights go on in front of 75,000+ people in the stands. Then calling a player "cowardly" for having a bad game is not cool. Think about it.... These coaches didn't recruit Aaron Beasley. Then he was accused of some awful stuff (that he was later cleared of) and missed all of spring and most of summer with the team. They have no loyalty to him. Would they bank their careers on Beasley if they had someone better? I have no problem with you disagreeing, but don't be a 🍆 in the process dude. Oh, and where did you play LB in college?
