It's truly a great psychological study when a fanbase feels attacked and they suddenly are the only ones that can't see the obvious. 90% of the LSU board responded to the BK video with "yeah, I just don't hear it" "They'll do anything to slander BK!" "He misspoke" 🤣

But this one got me good

What Peter Jackson did is really a one and a million thing. I don't know if it could be replicated but I think the Harry Potter movies come pretty close. Rowling was very much involved in those though. Most of the time, films don't actually have the authors or screenwriters anywhere near the set. I think that's where things go wrong because when something needs to be changed due to an issue on set coming up there's no one around that knows the ins and outs of the material to do it so they're made by directors, producers, and even actors on set. Peter Jackson was a super-fan so when he made changes due to circumstance he knew what he could get away with cutting or changing.

I think the Witcher may be the one case where you don't actually want the author nearby. I'd rather have the screenwriters for the Wild Hunt video game.

I’m a hardcore Potter nerd (team Ravenclaw) and I can assure you that any of the movies past Prisoner of Azkaban do not follow the books. They all left out some incredibly important events/details; and don’t even get me started on the sh*t that was Half Blood Prince.

Disclaimer: I didn’t read your all’s entire conversation, but I’m assuming we’re discussing book to film/TV adaptations.

Among those names were Mark Stoops, head coach at Kentucky; Josh Heupel, an Oklahoma alumnus and former offensive coordinator; Lane Kiffin, current head coach at Ole Miss; and a couple of NFL head coaches with Big 12 ties: Kliff Kingsbury of the Arizona Cardinals and formerly head coach at Texas Tech, and Matt Rhule, the head coach of the Carolina Panthers, who was previously head coach at Baylor.
You can scratch all of these names from the list. They’ve either opted out personally or, for whatever reason, are no longer in consideration, if they ever were.

It would be awesome if Heup said "thanks, but no thanks"!!

Notice, they listed where everyone was coaching currently, except for Heupel.

And they list everybody's current job but CJP. Always getting slighted.

Why is that?

The 80s are easily the worst decade in modern human history. Terrible fashion, largely forgettable music and many failed genres, the rise of the yuppie and wall street greed culture, and the cars were downright HIDEOUS. It's like everyone lost their mind and sense of aesthetics for a decade...maybe a little longer.

I blame the 1980 UGA football team. The world should never forget.
