Pistol Formation Thoughts?

I wonder if Bray will line up 4 yards back with Poole or Lane behind him... or if he will line up like 6 yards back with the RB the side?? Anyone know?

Kinda, IIRC in the Pistol formation the RB stands behind the QB (who is in shotgun) and not off to the side. THe QB also stands 4 yards behind center instead of 7 like in the shotgun. The RB then stands 3 yards behind the QB, which is where the QB normally stands in the shotgun.

:hi:

Advantage - Lessens the chance of Bray's hand getting brokd before he gets a chance to throw the ball.

Disadvantage - Firing blanks?

I know but is this what we are going do do?? or a different version? Dooley said Bray was only a yard up from the normal Shotgun Position... Thats why I was wondering..

You can't just run the offense... Bray can't take snaps under center... He has to be in this special formation... It changes everything... Route Timing, Run Plays, blocking everything...

I think you're overstating it. Dooley himself says they can run everything the same. It changes his footwork slightly on running plays and that's it. I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

You are wasting your time. These guys think we are going to come out running Nevada's offense Saturday.
