"None of my info comes from people in the AD. Every bit of it comes from “friends of the family” of various folks involved, including certain coaches who were contacted by G over 2 weeks ago about being on his staff. Other info is related to certain public leaks/posts that luckily I have the right connections to verify the info is 100% unquestionably legit when the majority of the public assumes it is probably some made up stuff (i.e., JJ Gruden leaked text that was posted then removed from twitter) from a week ago."

Ainge is full of sh!t

Finebaum is a trouble maker, especially when it deals with the school he attended. He likes to believe he is in the know, but he is still looking from the outside.
yeah, but his brain isn't addled by drug abuse and he doesn't rely on UTAD's approval to pay his mortgage. I trust Paul more than I do EA on a subject like this.

Full backing and support from boosters and AD, increased salary, increased salary pool to build an elite staff, no power struggle, and full control of the football program. Things are different this time around.

I was speaking of Ainge changing his mind this time, but....

I agree everything seems to be there for Gruden to come to Tennessee, I just dont think he has the drive to want to work 7/365. Money is not a issue at this point with him. Coaches get paid large salaries for a reason and it aint to sit on their butt. Its a lot of hard work and I believe he has had it easy at ESPN MNF.

Well, he does have a show on an ESPN-affiliated network....

Did he say this, or did you say this?

Someone asked a few pages back, "How do you keep a bombshell this big from exploding?"

The answer.....have Ainge and others under your influence deny, deny, deny!

Can you translate? Doesn't make any sense to me.

agree he likes to talk... but depends on what we consider looking from the outside...UT maybe but he does work for ESPN

I don’t know why it’s so hard to believe that there is a “Gruden won’t happen” push today. Yesterday, things picked up momentum with Swain, Finebaum, and even Cowherd giving it a legitimate thought. Too much attention too early in the process. Still wouldn’t be surprised to someday see a Saban/Meyer “I will not...” type quote from the Gruden camp. We’ll all know when it’s time.

People act like these terms are unfathomably impossible yet that is exactly what Bama gave Saban and it's what UTK is going to have to give up if they ever want to be champions (life champions excepted) again.

Remember Finebaum is kind of the one who started all of this back in September. I really do think he had some contact with people in the know back then, before people were told to hush up.
