Hargis said on Chattanooga radio that a booster was not his source on the printed story but that it was a coach who had been recruited by Gruden specifically to be on the UT staff and another party that only he and the editors knew and could not say. He did say on radio that he did have a booster as a source as well directly linked to Lamonte bit did not use any of that info in the article.

People are just disappointed. I question some but always thought you were giving factual info as you knew it. Much like Stephen Hargis. That guy believes what he's saying.

Where does babyVol post and who are they? If not exactly who in what way are the supposed to be connected to know? If I am gonna be deluded with someone I wanna know who i'm being nucking futs with. I wanna beleive....I really really do...

There is someone hidding in the wood pile here....things are just not adding up.....something is going to break very soon.....there just has to be a whole lot more happening behind the scenes.....you can almost smell it and taste it.....

So that means they're going completely from knox media and lamonte?

FWIW I think Hart has moved on to Fisher, Gundy, Strong, and maybe Fedora in that order. I'll love if we get Gruden, but I see Hart doing everything he can to get Fisher since that is "his guy."

Gundy apparently was the one that contacted UT, but it may just be to get a raise.

Strong is still a solid hire, and looks like he could bring in some strong recruiting classes, but not so sure about it in game couching ability. Surround him with a great staff and it could really work.

I'll put on my tin foil hat for a second. How better to orchestrate a "coaching search" than to shoot for Gruden and get "rejected". Set up and conduct your other interviews, then come back to Gruden in the end after working out the earlier differences?

It's a risky damn move, and I don't think I'd try it myself, unless you were 100% certain that Gruden wouldn't back out. Otherwise, you're left scrambling for leftovers.

Yep. At this point that's the only thing that makes sense. This is the oddest coaching search I have ever seen. And every aspect of it so far has screamed incompetence on the part of our crimson clad AD.

Did Lamonte maybe leak the stuff to TFP to get UT to bring public pressure on UT to make the final concession?
