Chang's high incompletion rate, coupled with a horrible TD/INT rate is why he wasn't drafted. Those stats weren't ignored.
No. He wasn't drafted because he had a weak arm and less than desired physical measurables. NFL prospects are rates first and foremost on physical attributes. I.e. does this guy have the size, speed, strength to succeed at the next level. After that they look at football skill by watching film and making sure those physical measurables translate to the field. And finally they look at intangibles. Stats are at the highest 4th on the list.
