More NFL Draft buzz for Josh Dobbs

Chang's high incompletion rate, coupled with a horrible TD/INT rate is why he wasn't drafted. Those stats weren't ignored.

No. He wasn't drafted because he had a weak arm and less than desired physical measurables. NFL prospects are rates first and foremost on physical attributes. I.e. does this guy have the size, speed, strength to succeed at the next level. After that they look at football skill by watching film and making sure those physical measurables translate to the field. And finally they look at intangibles. Stats are at the highest 4th on the list.

2. Film
3. Intangibles and character

Sure. Uh huh. Chang is 6'2"

Outliers. Most successful NFL QBs are 6'2" or above. The ideal being 6'4".

So again, the same size as Chang. Chang threw lots of INTs and lots,of incompletions. Thus, he didn't get drafted. He put up lots of yardage, but his overall stats were awful.

Good lord man..how much time are you going to give to tear down a 20 year old kid who, by all accounts, gives his all and will be ten times more successful in life than any of us here?

Lol. Resort to that. Just proveso you can't back your argument. Just go away and flame somewhere else. And don't ever try to accuse me of being racist again.

yeah..well I got a little irritated :)..its one thing to talk down about coaches..but when people do it about players. especially an awesome kid like Dobbs, it makes me upset...no place for that garbage..he is doing his best, some experts think he might have the skills for the next level...and instead of our fanbase cheering him on..they are like "hes the worst QB in recent memory"

Where has anyone said he's the worst in recent memory?

I backed up my claims with stats that he has already surpassed Worley..that he is the 5th rated QB in 2017...he will get more wins than any of the QBs in the last ten years..its you that have nothing except the drive to read down a kid...show us your NFL draft knowledge and btw what sort of degree do you have?

What does any of this drivel have to do with anything discussed?

you said he was your least favorite..did you base that on performance or his personality?

All things equal right now, Dobbs is my least favorite quarterback since I've been following Tennessee, which would be since Kelly. That said, his arm strength is at least average. Comparing strength to Shuler and Bray is putting him in an an upper level echelon. That's not really fair imo. There's too many other knocks on Dobbs as a qb.

Forget Timmy Chang and insert Case Keenum. I randomly picked out Chang cause I thought he fit the profile of those short noodle armed air raid QBs that no one in the NFL ever takes seriously.

Newsflash: least favorite and worst aren't close to the same thing. Sorry to break that to you. You asked about my degree, but apparently basic English is foreign to you.

Punters get drafted.

Being a 7th rounder that doesn't play doesn't cut it.

That's my point. Not saying he won't be drafted. Just saying he'll never start or make a difference in the NFL.

Your first post in this thread said no nfl team would touch him.

You're about as consistent as Dobbs is accurate on 20+ yard passes.

Bray had a much much much much better arm than dobbs. But bray couldn't get out of tight situations like dobbs can. If we had a mobile quarterback with Brays arm and dobbs brain, we would be national champions.

Do you even have a degree? Tell us more about why you know more about NFL readiness than the draft experts?
