Would be a huge p/u for LSU...Kid has great feet, quick release, quicker mind - just like the soon-to-be Heisman Trophy winner...He is the best QB prospect we have signed since that Manning guy...My guess is JP was a JG-type QB for his dad in HS - had LB mentality and a do-not-get-us-beat attitude...Someone needs to warn the kid from Marietta - JP is probably appealing to NCAA for a 6th year of eligibility for JG.

i just dont think he fits chaney's system. his numbers reflect this. i think he's more runner than passer and would be great in an offense that utilizes that more. i think first he'd need to bulk up some

I agree with bulking up but he’s used to being in a spread and you’re actually completely off base thinking he’s a runner, not a passer. Each qb every year gets labeled DT or pro style due to where their particular skill set can do the most damage to a defense. There’s a reason he was a pro style qb despite his running abilities.

And btw....CHANEY doesn’t have a “system”. He adjusts to his qbs skills. That’s what makes him so great and why so many qbs have success under him.
