It comes down to the details, of course. The "locked in a room" thing, if that's actually all there is.. That would be straight-up lame, and there is no way Diane could believe it would be worthy of a criminal investigation.

Just be careful if Ronan's talking to the alleged victim. He's already go Kavanaugh committing to a "categorical and unequivocal" denial. Be interesting to see if he comes back with follow up stories setting forth more information/evidence now that he has Kavanaugh on the record denying the allegations.

I have no idea what he has or doesn't have. I do know when he writes stories about powerful men and sexual assault it usually doesn't end well for the man.

This is the type of stuff that scares me. just the accusation can ruin someone's career. no evidence, doesn't matter what others said. just throwing an accusation out there is enough apparently. scary stuff.

Depends on the details (which we'll never know) but we still don't know what "forced himself on her" means. Was he trying to take his clothes off and rape her - if we knew that then he's disqualified for sure. Was he trying to kiss her and she refused but interpreted that as him forcing himself on her - if that's the case then we move on.

The problem is that the accuser doesn't want to discuss it, we only know about the allegation details from people who are against Kavanuagh paraphrasing it, K has denied it and there is no way to further investigate since the accuser doesn't want to do so.

I hope to hell this isn't the new standard in politics but of course it will be and the various bases will totally rationalize and justify it when their team uses it.
