How many times am I going to have to do this for the “google cause I wasn’t there crowd?”nope......
How Strongly is Recruiting Correlated with On-Field Success in College FootballStars do not mean a darn thing.
The recruiting write up said he is a nightmare for linebackers trying to cover him out of the backfield. Has great hands and speed. Please let me remind some that he was just as much recruited for his return skills. Very good and comfortable catching punts which can win or lose games. He is a very good back to provide depth and can line up at slot as well. And he is Big O best friend so for you star gazers he is as good as any Lineman in top 100. I preference that by Lineman because he could be AA at either position will see in time. So all in all a great commitment.
The higher ranked teams and coaches will always have the highest ranked classes and recruits. Self fulfilling prophecy. What was Tennessee’s recruiting ranking in 1998? Don’t have to even look it up.If what you say is true, then point me to the team that was primarily consisted of 3* players who were starters and how many playoff/national championship games they have played in.
3 star rb will not move the needle for us with the ranking services. They base the rankings on stars. 4 and 5 star guys will. 5 stars doesn't guarantee anything though. Crompton was a 5 star QB for example. What is our recruit class ranking now, with this valuable player added? How do we compare to FL, GA, BAMA, LSU ?
