Please stop the nonsense as in bench jg? If so I completely agree. Please stop the nonsense. This was a tale of two halves. We were aggressive in the 1st half. We got after it and created opportunities.
2nd half was conservative. Gave the initiative and it multiplied on us.
Facts: UGA and Bama are better. Everyone else is up for grabs. Go Vols!!!!
You cant be serious
He had way more than one second on all those turnovers. As usual, he held the ball too long. I said last week that even when given 5 seconds he uses all 5 of them. No reason to expect he would do much against the best defense he will see all year. If he had played mistake free the way our defense was playing, they may have won the game for us with a pick 6 or 2. You can't give them the ball inside the 30 and leave the defense on the field the whole game as well.Dude the oline hasn't even blocked for him, I mean it's hard to hate on the guy when he gets blasted 1.5 seconds into the play. He had a very bad INT. But other than that I dunno what the dude is supposed to do with one second to throw

Jones didn't just come close - he beat UGA twice, and the first time was his third season. He also beat UF in his fourth season. He wasn't a good coach and deserved to be fired. What does that say about the guy we have now? Anyone on here think we have a snowball's chance against UF this year? How do you defend Pruitt after this? Any head football coach hired at UTK that goes three straight years without beating one of these three: Florida, Georgia or Alabama should be shown the door. Don't start with how close he has come. Jones came very close several times. ONE....ONE...win over any of the three over a three year period. That is a very low barr but we have to keep firing and hiring until we get the guy who can do that. The idiot that extended Pruitt's contract should be removed the entire state. What a waste of money from the hard working tax payers of the State of Tennessee.
I've been saying for a while that either this staff is poor at developing QBs, or poor at evaluating QBs. There is no other answer at this point if JG is our best option, as determined by the coaches, at the most important offensive position on the field in year #3. The staff has either done a terrible job at developing Guarantano, Shrout, Maurer, and to an extent, Bailey, or they have recruited talentless duds at the QB position to replace him.Sounds like bad offensive coaching as much as anything. And recruiting.
If there isn't anyone better than what you're describing, the staff needs to be removed.
Some of it was line play but still no excuse for a 5th year Senior to have absolutely zero freaking awareness in the pocket. His whole demeanor is garbage when things aren't going well. Lacks leadership !!!
Exactly. Looking at the camera shot of Guarantano on the sideline he was beaten. Even if he is 5 times better than the rest of the QBs combined on the roster, it was time to sit him. Any of the others would have likely tried harder and been excited to get on the field. This is what i simply cannot understand.Certainly, down 23, another QB deserves some snaps.
I get you’re upset. We all are but who would sit their starting QB due to 2 turnovers? Maybe if there’s an active competition that happens but we apparently don’t have that. It's more on Pruitt. After the 2nd turnover in a close game ge should've at least sit him for a series. He didn't, JG couldn't bounce back, and it screwed any chance we had.
Who knows. If we have another QB on the bench with the IT factor. Hey, look what Missouri did. Look what we did to them. I knew that QB was a real find. Good thing we played them early. Look at Arkansas. Geez, we got Missouri, but Arkansas doesn't look like a win now. A&M beat Florida today as well. It's the last game of the year, if we ever have a chance it's late in the year. We ain't never gonna beat them in game 3.Jones didn't just come close - he beat UGA twice, and the first time was his third season. He also beat UF in his fourth season. He wasn't a good coach and deserved to be fired. What does that say about the guy we have now? Anyone on here think we have a snowball's chance against UF this year?
