Explosion in Boston?

Wife and I went out last night as soon after we got word that the suspect was surrounded. We met a handful of friends in a local bar. The bar was packed and everyone was joyous and relieved. It was a great night in a great city.

Further, while the majority of time that I am speaking of LE, I am criticizing. The LE, both local and federal, that were here in Boston did a pretty superb job. Kudos to them.

FBI interviewed him two years ago, ties to extremist group

Obama knew and let him go!

How can a ‘refugee’ that was granted asylum make an extended trip back home and then return to the United States.

A common sense response should be ‘Hey, if it’s safe enough for you to go back to the region for a vacation for 6 mths, then why don’t you pack the rest and stay there?’

From what I saw on TV, Boston was celebrating last night.

LE did an exceptional job. It is amazing how fast this went down.

It is sad it takes a tragedy to bring our nation together for a short time. The blame game will start today.

Agree. Fire Station is right across the street from the bar I consider my neighborhood bar. I made a point to thank them for all the work and effort they put in this week. Hopefully others are expressing their thanks to both the FD and LE this week. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

Agree. And, this is sad. Reasonable measures could not have been taken to prevent the bombings on Monday. Wish people would see and understand that, unfortunately, many will not and will point fingers.

Pleased to hear you were able to finally enjoy yourselves. Hope it's a great weekend up there for everyone.

what should they have done before/after the interviews, mav? jw

Deported!

And since it was SAFE enough for him to visit home for 6 months, then his asylum should have been revoked!

Asylum-seekers, like those seeking refugee status, must demonstrate that they have a "well-founded fear" of persecution in their home countries.

But yet he returned for 6 months! ASYLUM SHOULD HAVE BEEN REVOKED!!!

Is that what my future has in store for me? ****.

Thanks, LG. It should be a pretty solid weekend (hopefully the weather clears up so that the Royals can beat the Sox this afternoon).

the brainwashing is just unbelievable. You have people that have the ability to be very smart, succumbing to manipulation and brainwashing over and over, which makes some of them flat out insane in the membrane.

Very true. But enough about VolMav, let's get back on topic.

I disagree. There are millions of people in this country and billions of people around the world which believe:

1) There is a personal God.
2) Humans know the will of God.
3) Humans know the of the afterlife and what actions will get them there.

Sadly, that is the hard part. Luckily, most religious people have a peaceful impression of God's will and what it takes to do well in the afterlife.

If I heard right, be was given asylum as a small child. He was granted citizenship on Sepember 11, 2012.

Not the oldest one. The youngest. Yes.

Oldest couldn't because there were concerns by the state department. Mav is right. We were warned to watch him.

Yes, but Mav is leaving out the most important detail: the FBI found no incriminating evidence against the older brother. Unless you want the US to start removing individuals from society based on nothing more than suspicion, you have to chalk this up to not preventable by reasonable measures.

I understand that. Mav is bad about cherry picking info.
