the beer barrel only went away 10-12 years ago (can't remember exactly but hope I'm close)

It's a shame they did away with the beer barrel. I always liked the idea of playing for beer :)

Yeah man , back in the old days before sexting and Lil Wayne. The year was 1997 AD. We battled for a beer barrel. Then some UK football players tragically died in an alcohol related car accident so they did the knee jerk thing and retired it.

I remember when this was done I was living in Lexington at the time all the kids in the car that day were good ole boys they were actually going on a hunting trip & Tim Couch was on this trip. I worked at a liquor store at the time & would rib the players for pooling there money together to get a case of Natural I told them jokingly of course if they had gone to UT they could have afforded top shelf. Maybe this was knee jerk but at the time the right choice just my opinion. Know lets roll on those pussy cats go Big Orange!!!

Whether we bring back the Beer Barrel or not, it is never going north of Jelico Mt anyway.
