Bailey led the team in passing

JG good kid but gets stuck in play calls. The swing to the back was there all night. When teams blitz that means a tight end or a hook route to a wideout is open. Just does not change at the line to help the offense.

Bailey lead in interceptions too. Also, defense was in a prevent mode which allowed passing as game was all but over. Nothing to see with the passing stat. Much more wrong than just the QB.
His first interception was due to PI that didn't get called. It was on time and the receiver could have caught the ball if he hadn't gotten mugged before the ball got to him. The other pass was the last play of the game where you toss it into the end zone and let your receiver fight for it. Not his fault. Have you ever played the game or do you have a clue about the game?

He also faced a prevent defense that gave him the underneath. The others (JG and Maurer) were staring down the barrel of 0 blitzes all night long.
That just shows the lack of respect they had for our passing game.

That's an impressive spin job, k-town_king. You've outdone yourself on this one. Guarantano got injured. Arkansas then marched down the field and scored to take a 14-13 lead. When Maurer took the field for his first play, UT was LOSING 14-13. Only ONE UT QB had taken a snap in the game at that point - your idol, Jarrett Guarantano.
According to K-town Guaranturnover Is a heisman candidate. All of us other sheep just can’t see the greatness that he embodies.

Bailey led the team last night in passing with 69 yards.

Just thought this should have a spotlight shown on it.

This is both damn scary and hilarious at the same time.

This is precisely why stats alone should never be thought of as a true measure of quality.

It’s the same plan every week facing JG. Downhill, jump the short routes and make him beat you deep. Two games in a row we game planned to play “not to lose” and it’s not only gotten us beat but manhandled up front.

Plan vs Maurer is sit back and wait on ints. Just wait for any pass and it will be incomplete or interceptable.

He has been hit so much in his career that he is shell shocked. He doesnt see the field, only the rush at this point.

Think back to when they did the same to him vs UF last year. He looked the same way and people said the same things. Then they invested time in him and he wasn’t the same player most thought he was. He’s not shell shocked. He’s not scared. He’s out of practice and rusty. There’s a big difference.

I missed the special statistical category for ints that are not the QBs??? Please provide link

Funny considering JG throws the most uncatchable passes statistically...and BM is the only QB without an int this season....so obviously your take is ignorance at it finest

I didn’t have as big of an issue with the second INT as I did with the first. He never took his eyes off of the receiver which is going to result in an INT 95% of the time in the SEC. His throw that bounced off the goal post, that no one is talking about, appeared to be a TD that in my mind was a mistake as well.

He is a freshman and will grow from these mistakes but the coaching staff has to put him in a better position to be successful in the future.

Brian Maurer has only thrown 5 passes this year and only completed one of those. Apples to bowling balls much?

Oh now that the stats show what you all don't wann hear. They don't matter...was any stats I provided incorrect??? Nope...BM was held to his stats why isn't everyone???

I just don’t get the point of continuing to play JG. We know what he is. Time to pass the baton (better yet hand off the baton).

Yes. They're not making a bowl game. May as well play the future at this point. I'm still kind of pissed Pruitt is actually in the future at this point. The extension before the year looks like stupidity right now.

What are you talking about? What does 1 for 5 passing prove one way or the other? So a QB would be considered effective if they throw one incomplete pass in a season. They went the whole season without throwing an interception! 🤓

By that logic, we should give all the snaps to Paxton Brooks because he's got the highest completion percentage and has thrown no INTs.

Good one.

But still it could be the difference between a few more wins this year or going winless.

You will do all you can to blame JG.

We were winning the game with him in. BM could not maintain the lead.

The game was not about JG. It was about the other guys not stepping up second half.

You just expose yourself more and more with idiotic posts like this.
Maurer never played with a lead. Arky got a TD on their first drive of the 2nd half, UT went 3 and out with JG, and 3 plays later it was 14-13. Maurer didn't play good and was clearly uncomfortable, but no one will convince me that it wouldve been different with JG in there.

Obviously 1 for 5 is not good and those stats lack context....btw. did both of you happen to see who and what I reaponded to...if you know the who. Then my post makes more sense because ktown is delusional

Maurer isn't the standard. JG is an ineffective QB no matter what Maurer is or becomes. Maurer isn't the guy with over 30 SEC starts. He hasn't been the center focus for development for the past 4 years. He has never enjoyed any of the advantages JG has gotten much less the INCREDIBLY insane "patience".

You aren't winning points by tearing others down to try to avoid facing the simple facts about your idol.

Brian hasn’t exactly been put in any position to succeed this year either. He threw once vs Alabama, already down. His only other action this season has this past weekend. Anyone that expected a great performance in any of the back ups when all the time has been poured in JG is absolutely unreasonable

Bailey is going to have his bumps. He looked scared when he got in. That’s okay. Young guys make mistakes. Much rather that happen in the name of growing wind developing a player vs a 5th year senior who just can’t get right.
