All the pre owned Mercedes listed has an unlimited mileage, comprehensive, factory warranty.Fair point.
Seems like the moral of the story is:
If you plan to buy a new car, buy a good, reliable, Japanese car as they tend to hold their value much better.
For a great deal on a used car, buy a German car because they lose their value at an alarming rate.
Also make sure the German car has a warranty.
The price gap from new to new is significant, but the gap shrinks tremendously since the luxury car depreciates much faster.
Plus service intervals on a German car are between 10k and 15k for routine interval since they hold a higher volume of oil in the pan, usually over 8 quarts.I'm glad you said it. German cars being "more expensive to fix" is a myth. I've had all kinds of cars and they're all the same.
Wranglers are cool and fun. Sadly, most drive them to convey an image.
if you buy a car, truck, suv because you think it enhances or speaks your personality then you need to get a freakins life. A Mustang is a poorly built car, period. It's an attempt at a penis extension, and a bad one at that.
It's like the guy (or gal) driving a F250 diesel and doesn't even have a boat or trailer and won't even allow mulch in the bed. Thats your borderline sociopath.
I can't really speak on buying anything for image.
I buy things I like.
I've never aspired to own a lux vehicle as I've always felt it was ridiculous to spend that much on a car. The only Benz's that even catch a second look from me are the AMG models.
Short of that, buying a mid-range Benz seems pretty pointless, Imo. The entry level Benz gets a solid chuckle from me everytime I see one.
I know from experience that they are quality autos but as far as I'm concerned....bleh.
I don't need wipers on my headlights.

It really gets down to the fact that people are stupid. They'll go pay 30k for a POS Ford when they could be driving a Mercedes with a better warranty and dealing with much better staffs. If you look at the ad gimmicks from Lance, Cogdill, etc. you understand. People are stupid. Run stupid ads and the idiots will come in in droves and never even consider the German car. And when you point out, theyll find every reason not to listen. Stupid is as stupid does.
