How is wearing a hat and jersey not being gracious? Was he rude answering questions? Maybe I missed that.. I have no idea what his hat means but your logic or lack thereof is apparent... Stipulations to freedom of speech if you are on salary? Are you trolling or are you related to Kim Jong?

First of all, discrimination is just plain wrong! I do not condone discrimination in any form or fashion.

However, you might want to travel some yourself because you seem to be misinformed about Africa. Primarily, Africa is not a nation, it is a continent made up of 55 countries. Some of these countries are EXTREMELY impoverished and all have serious poverty issues. Four of the 10 poorest countries in the world are in Africa. None of the 15 richest countries in the world are in Africa. As an added note, the United States is the 12 richest country in the world. And yes, I have been to Africa.

My response is not about being white, or any other color. It is about being accurate concerning the information presented.

Therein lies the problem. You see his career as an open platform. I see it as his place of employment. That would not be well received for most businesses. And what rock do you live under if you fail to realize that most jobs have a code of ethics or requirements? Some jobs you can get fired for what you do and post online off the clock.

yeah well, in football it only matters how good you are. If you are really good, you can beat your wife and make a team. Heck some sec coaches will sign you after doing so.

And his place of employment has shown it won't fire him for speaking or wearing what he wants. Why are you still arguing this point?

Maybe because some people cannot grasp that there are better ways to go about protests. And free speech has consequences. That is why stadiums are half full and ratings are low. I think it's safe to say that most people want to watch football. If they wanted an agenda pushed, they would watch CNN.

your opinion on how to protest is irrelevant to everyone else.
Alvin is still getting paid millions no matter what he wears because he is an amazing asset to his employer. He gets more leeway than the janitor because of that

Your speech is protected. Your job is not.

Actually, none of this makes a big deal to me. I just saw an opportunity to win an easy argument that you can't say anything you want just because of the First Amendment.

Actually there are quite a few people that share my opinion. That is one of the reasons that stadiums look empty. Why sales are down. And when you put that someone's opinion doesn't matter or is irrelevant is the same as saying they can have freedom of speech, but you can't. Quite a few people are tired of football turning into some kind of political statement. As for the owner, it speaks more to his character if he allows this type of thing to occur.
