Alvin Kamara

I told a Saints fan last year...You got a steal in Kamara, the kid is amazing. That was when they already had 2 great RBs.

Vs. Giants 9/30 Saints win 33-18

134 Rushing 3 td
47 Receiving

181 Total Yards to follow last weeks 190 yards.

He is about the only reason I watch the NFL this year. His 49 yard touchdown near the end of the game looked like his kickoff return last year. He just seems to glide to the endzone effortlessly on long plays.
He was the only reason I watch NFL last year as well.

Brees is looking to get the ball in his hands almost every time. Wow, what if we had used him like that. Heisman winner for sure!

With what Hurd is doing at Baylor we should have had him as a specialist half TE half WR....he even came in and played a down or 2 of RB. But had Kamara on the field with him at the same time.

Not a rule per se. People assume it's going to be bad news. Injury, player quit the team. Something along those lines.

I think it should be okay for players not currently playing for the volunteers, but of course why not go the extra mile.

It will be interesting to see how Kamara's work load changes next week when Ingram comes back. I think he still should get 20 touches a game.
As long as Kamara in the mix I don’t think Kamara cares if his bud Ingram gets his due. Better for career longevity and they will be unstoppable tandem again. Saw him live yesterday at the game. Kamara acceleration is crazy fast and looks effortless at same time...only player I can maybe compare to is Tony Dorset in his prime?

My undefeated fantasy team cares though :p

CBJ sure got the most out of him when we had him huh ? CBJ is worthless, or worse.
CBJ going to have to own this forever. Think about the 30 for 30 or NFL films waxing nostalgia about his college days as backup. To think about number of Texas AM type games he could have put up is crazy. But then again, CBJ would probably still be our coach if he did what was obvious and given him 20-25 touches per game. Heisman for sure.

The #1 reason I was/am disgusted with Butch Jones. The talent he had on this team....how many of his players are on an NFL team???....and he could not muster an SEC East title.

And Kamara was a frigging BACKUP!!!!! NFL Rookie of the Year was a backup RB for UT.

Hurd should have never started over him. He should have gotten his dream fulfilled and moved to TE or WR but that would have required a competent head coach.

Hurd was better than Alvin in 2015. The shift happened in 2016. That is when Alvin raised his game and Hurd regressed.

The real mistake was not using both of them at the same time. Dobbs, Hurd, and Kamara should have played every offensive snap TOGETHER.

One of the years Kamara was injured for a few games. May have been 2016 and Kelly filled in for him.

Some guys just know how to get to the end zone and he's one of them. It's a shame the coaches couldn't see what we all saw when we had him here.
I remember the ones arguing for Kamara over Hurd were ridiculed by many on here by saying “ yeah I’m sure you know better than the coaches who should be starting!!” Kind of makes you think huh? Maybe sometimes the casual fan might know better than the coaches.

Um, no the casual fan doesnt. Butch knew what he had in AK. He liked Hurd because he was an instate guy.

We had coaches then?

I thought some kid asking the "magic 8 ball" determined which players played and when to call timeouts.

"Should I get the ball to our most dynamic player more?" ......blub blub "Not Today, Ask Again Later."
