Alvin Kamara Appreciation Thread (merged)

Sexual assault and mass shootings are at an all time high. While rape and crime may not be, they are still overall trending upward.

Where?

“Violent crime, however, is about 0.7 percent lower than five years ago, and 16.5 percent lower than a decade ago. The violent crime rate – nearly 373 violent crimes per 100,000 inhabitants in the U.S. – is almost half the 20-year high reached in 1996.”

Sounds like the rejection of God is going pretty well.

The rejection of God began when schools banned prayer in 1962. So apparently things got really bad after that. Thanks for proving my point.

So that’s why the NFL has almost 50% of players with a felony!

Good to know we lowly plebes who watch them aren’t as important as the whiny millionaires who can beat up theur wife and still hold down their cushy job

Its funny you should mention the felonies and criminal activity. The snowflakes that are bent out of shape about kneeling seemed to have no noticeable outrage about violent players being given a second chance.

But boy, don't disrespekt my flag...

A 20-year high (meaning 1996-2016) doesn’t “prove” anything about 1962...

But yeah. Our country was much better morally in the early ‘60s. Hahahaha

Actually, violent crime as a whole, is down

It's just because you see it splattered all over TV everyday, would make you think it's worse than it actually is

Just like other things the media likes to exploit and the reason for this thread

And yet, we still lead the galaxy in prison population and we still have far too many civilians dying on the streets at the hands of cops for violating some lame-azzed infraction.

Don't do drugs
Don't sale drugs
Don't possess drugs

All are easily avoided if you want to

It's a personal choice to either abide by the law or not

If you choose not to, then it's not because the law exists ,but because you chose to break it

The people I’ve seen break those laws the most are in rich white areas like Belle Meade, but they all end up in rehab, not jail. Funny how that happens

Still, you know it's wrong, yet you chose to do it anyway

At that point, it's all on you.

If you make wise choices in life, you will get better results

Be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem

Why do we even have drug laws to begin with?

Addiction isn’t really a “choice,” that’s why rehab exists (for rich people at least; otherwise, prison)

Why institute a law that you know will essentially only be enforced on poor people?

The decision to prosecute is not up to LE

It's up to attorneys and judges

You don't think it's frustrating for us to see these guys get cut loose because of who they are or who they know?

And it doesn't only happen to "rich white people". That is a narrow minded view of actuality

So nobody is responsible for their actions?

See, you can't make the argument about adults being responsible for their actions if you willingly enforce laws that violate what an adult chooses to put in their bodies or consume.

If you want to preach person responsibility, then you would be for decriminalizing drugs.

Proof that if you dedicate yourself and work hard enough, you can accomplish anything you want

Is life always fair? No

It's never going to be fair. Sitting back and expecting anyone to give you anything is just a recipe for disappointment

Are minorities the only people born poor and at a disadvantage?

Lulz. I could work my *** off and not make the NFL. Many do. It’s more about luck and genetics.
