Ideally, he would shoot better from 3, so yes, hopefully he's getting up shots. However, he shot better than Gainey did from 3 in either of the past two seasons. He's a very good fit for our offense in that his strength seems to be scoring off of ball screens and handoffs, which we use heavily.on Pozzato, the shooting is a concern. Hopefully he's putting up 1,000 shots a day. He's decent as a spot-up guy, but looks like he struggles trying to create his own shot. Getting to the basket is great in the Missouri Valley, but if you can't shoot that's not going to translate to the SEC. Having said that, he was just a freshman this past season, so I wouldn't expect him to be a finished product yet. I do like the swagger he plays with and I can see why we're interested.
I said it earlier in this thread, but he looks like what I imagine a freshman version of Dalton Knecht would have looked like. Obvious athleticism and ability, but unrefined. As you alluded to, the good thing is that he has plenty of time to improve on his weaknesses and further develop his strengths given he's just a freshman.
