That did seem to get them out of their SOP, and I do think Geno is a regimented coach. Tennessee took them out of their routine, and they were out of kilter throughout the game. They just look like a team that knows where to go with the ball in a halfcourt defense the Helter skelter of UT fullcourt D threw them off. Maybe Geno was so confident coming into the game he didn't even prep for the fullcourt D.Dawn needs to try the Press on them. They didn't seem to handle that well.
Auriemma has been here so often that he knows how to prep for everything. That did seem to get them out of their SOP, and I do think Geno is a regimented coach. It is all about matchups - I still think we would have beat them again.
I really would like to hear the disdain with this. Do people not like to see the raw emotion of players? When I seen Boston crying, hell I got a little emotion! Is that not what we want, to connect with the players on an emotional level. That’s what creates fans, no?Because one thing about it soon as they put her on the screen I started screaming because nope gone head I still haven’t forgotten how they did Boston when they lost![]()
Yep, I quit watching the UCLA vs UCONN. They dominated UCLA more than they did USC both games were very Un climatical. I bet the viewership is way down this year. The Women's FF was blah. All double digit wins and two blowouts.
Men's FF has been terrific. Two close games in semifinals and hopefully another tomorrow night...
Too many open layups are the cause of some of the points against, that’s what they need to fix.If we get her then yes 25 at least. Regardless of who we get and how we play we cannot let teams score 80 points or more. We can't be last in defense in the SEC. Whatever it takes to fix the defense is more important than how much a player plays. We scored 86 lost. 87 lost, Failed to reboud a miss and lost to Vandy, scored 76 and lost, scored 76 again and lost. We have to get where if we score over 70 points we win.
I agree that the subbing is to quick, but we have more problems as well mostly defense and rebounding.
Women's game needs more parity, every year it's the same old song and dance...at least in the men's game you get a Mid Major to FF occasionally or at least make a deep run. Helen Keller could have filled this years women's bracket out and won...No team you like but still watch. I like to have a team I like a little wasn't one today.
The men's tournament was all chalk this year too.Women's game needs more parity, every year it's the same old song and dance...at least in the men's game you get a Mid Major to FF occasionally or at least make a deep run. Helen Keller could have filled this years women's bracket out and won...
Thought I stated the occasional deep run by a Mid Major. When was last time a Mid Major made a deep run in Women's tournament? Maybe Creighton a few years ago. Other than that a Cinderella in EE is hard to find in Women's game. The men's tournament was all chalk this year too.
For the people arguing over who would win if Tennessee and UConn played right now ....
What is the point of such a hypothetical argument? No such game will be played. Tennessee and UConn did play this season and Tennessee won. It was a solid win for Coach Caldwell in her 1st season. It was just a regular season game, but a nice win, nevertheless. UConn just won the National Championship. They beat three #1 seeds while rolling over two of them in blow outs. So, congrats to them as well.
Hopefully, we will be seeing them in the Final Four again, soon.
