I doubt you see mid majors in the men's NCAAs anymore. When you don't have to sit for a year players like Dalton leave N Colorado virtually giving them no chance for a NCAA run same for N Florida with Chaz Lanier. Thats 2 examples, now extrapolate that across the whole nation and it will be more and more chalk. Close to 2000 portals and NIL just expect Chalk yearly, the fun of rooting for the unlikely underdog, just think when Curry took Davidson on that run it was a fun watch. In this environment with NIL Curry would have probably transferred to Duke.Thought I stated the occasional deep run by a Mid Major. When was last time a Mid Major made a deep run in Women's tournament? Maybe Creighton a few years ago. Other than that a Cinderella in EE is hard to find in Women's game.
Strong is the best “big” since Stewey. And does everything as well or better. Dribbles anywhere better than most guards. Strokes the three like she’s ordering lunch. Has hands that always control the ball. And smart. Blah, blah, etc, Brassie must be old like me…and said it best. Her right hand is butter.I think Strong is the future. I have followed UConn for more than 30 years and she is the best freshman thatI have seen.
Yeah, Anson Dorrance of UNC might be the most winning coach of all time. Not sure, but he would def be my greatest coach of all time because he also essentially led the first professional iteration of international soccer for women in the United States.Good grief, now ESPN is window licking hard for Geno as the greatest coach of all times... then some cal,er chimed in about the UNC women's soccer coach who has coached 21 National Championship teams at North Carolina. 21 titles in 40 years of Women's soccer in College.

ESPN said four of the top 10 Elite Eight games on record aired this year, including:
• LSU-UCLA (3.4 million viewers, No. 3 Elite Eight game all-time)
• Duke-SC (3.1 million, No. 4)
• UConn-USC (3.0 million, No. 6)
• TCU-Texas (2.3 million, No. 9)
The Sweet 16 round averaged 1.7 million viewers across ESPN’s networks, the second-most-watched Sweet 16 on record behind last year (which averaged 2.4 million viewers) and up 39 percent from 2023. This year delivered four of the top 10 Sweet 16 games of all time, including 2.9 million for Tennessee-Texas (No. 3) and 2.5 million for Notre Dame-TCU (No. 4).
Not surprised you would spin it that way. EVERYONE knows that Clark brought a big bump to WCBB in 2023-24. The relevant question is what would happen after her?Down literally 10 million viewers but “pEoPlE WaNnA wAtCH me ToO.”

I was pondering this data set and wondered how a healthy Paige Bueckers would have affected that equation as Caitlin’s train was pulling out of the station. Not surprised you would spin it that way. And the result is that viewership remains up across the board from 2022-2023 (also when CC was playing but had not yet become a cultural phenom).
For those who care about the continued growth of WCBB basketball, that is a good news.
Paige was playing did CC's senior year which gave the record breaking Iowa v. Uconn final four match. I am not sure what you mean here.I was pondering this data set and wondered how a healthy Paige Bueckers would have affected that equation as Caitlin’s train was pulling out of the station.
Further back, following Paige’s first injury.Paige was playing did CC's senior year which gave the record breaking Iowa v. Uconn final four match. I am not sure what you mean here.
I think if JuJu had been healthy--the JuJu vs. Paige duel might have pumped up ratings.
