Literally you are making my point. People don't get rid of the programs because they need them in the first place.
Why do people vote for single payer? Cause they don't have healthcare that works for them now.
So even if they don't like it, they don't get rid of it. They just edit it to something they do like.
Eliminating it without something in plan to replace it (like Trump tried to do with Obamacare) never works.
Neither does financially strapping everyone else. Guess what? I don’t care about your education or your healthcare. I care about mine and my family’s and I work to provide it. If the taxes I already pay don’t help supply the safety nets needed oh well. You can always go to work or maybe even get 2 jobs. If that means you can’t go to school for 6-8 years I’m ok with that.
I just gave you more than two options. It will not be the either or the right will try to trumpet. We were talking about the promise to forgive student loan debt. There are only two options to do that, stick the taxpayers with the bill or the .gov defaults on the loans.
The banks shouldn’t have to write off a penny since these are .gov guaranteed loans.
You don't need private health care though, you need health care.
Why do we pay 2x per person with our private system than other nations and still not cover everyone? Still haven't gotten an answer on that.
Yes but see we live in a society. So you do that with enough people who can't afford healthcare and education and we elect someone that will increase taxes and then we get those programs.
It's funny in a way. The Republicans move to the extreme right created the perfect storm for Sanders ideas to become so popular.
Actually I quite clearly said I'd be in favor of the Medicare for All Premium Tax and increased tax for Education despite the fact I wouldn't benefit in time.
But to clarify yes you are definitely the extremist.
Listening to you and Hog with your "Hospitals should refuse people who can't pay" and "the Republican supemajority gov" was too liberal with the TN Promise.

don't confuse health care with paying for health care
we pay more because our health care is more expensive. there's a laundry list of reasons why our health care is more expensive. most of it is unrelated to how we pay for it (insurance)
The government should ensure a certain amount of earnings?
Why is he an extremist? Why can’t people ask questions as to why the food stamp budget increased by over 400% between 2002 and 2017? Are people Going to be starving in the streets if the snap budget was rolled back to 2002 levels?Again we have established that you are an extremist. I don't need more evidence.
